Actually, a wide, flattened base with a specific lighter-than-water density is exactly how jetskis float. What you've done is basically that, you widened and made the center of buoyancy much more stable by using only air.

This was a really cool vid. It’s actually not called a JetSki. It is called a wave runner. The difference is: on a jet ski, you stand up with a handle coming up. On a wave runner, which were the videos you were showing, you sit down on them.
A normal and new jet ski costs around 6000$ or more but somehow Jake spent 5864$ just on the motors, but i respect the determination a lot though 😂

You could always use a small gas motors that are out there. Just look up a motor kit for a bikecycle. There a pain in the butt to put on but once you have it on. It gets interesting.
