Hook’s pioneering style was a defining aspect in the sound of both Joy Division and New Order-two of the most iconic bands-and countless bassists have been influenced by his innovative approach.
The limited edition Peter Hook Signature BB is based on the BB734A bass he plays on tour with Peter Hook & The Light, incorporating influences from his favorite BB1200S bass, which he calls “the perfect guitar.”

I just bought a beat up BB414 And I absolutely love it ..
I bought my bb234 because of Peter, i'm loving it so much. Hopefully i can upgrade to a bb1200s later on

What a beautiful color, and a clean design [to me]. I'd much rather have this than his new Eastwood Hooky Bass VI, and I'm on a Bass VI kick a the moment.
The intro and the outro - dreams never end - is not one of his yamahas, it is his shergold 6 string bass. just saying :-)
Bought a BBPH the day after it was announced. Sold my other basses. It’s just too good. If I will need another instrument I’ll buy another BBPH. It’s that simple. It’s all there and I still got goosebumps when I just look at it.

Yamaha needs to go back to flipping the pickups around on all of their BB basses, like they did with Peter’s bass.
The sound of the pickups was what set the BB basses from all of the others. Very distinct sounding.

Nice video Hooky! I've got a BB1024X. It's got tone for days but is heavy as a bloody grand piano. Maybe I should get one of these newer models if they're making them lighter.
