    The voice of the " Visit your local library..." sounds like Dick (Richard) Robinson. He's the president and CEO of Scholastic. I heard him in an interview and he had a similar voice. I could be wrong though. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't him.

    When I was in 4th grade, I would have been 100 percent satisfied if the original 1994 TV series was on PBS Kids Go. Then it really would have been back on air. If so, all episodes would have reused the Season 4 funding (but with the logos in different versions).

    The first variant was only used for the first episode. The announcer’s saying “...and Microsoft Home” at 1:22 does not make any sense because the NSF credit still shows, so that must be a goof that is fixed for the following episodes that Microsoft/Microsoft Home had done funding for.

      CPB and Viewers Like You was in S2 and S3. But S4 had NSF, Carnegie Corporation of New York, AND Viewers Like You.
      Also, this is the funding credits (read on the back cover of the "Magic School Bus" TV tie in books):
      "Major funding for 'The Magic School Bus' television project is provided by MICROSOFT HOME --the makers of a broad line of quality software for your home computer. Additional funding is provided by the U.S DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY and CARNEGIE CORPORATION OF NEW YORK".
      I read that on TV tie in books of the BLOWS ITS TOP and OUT OF THIS WORLD episodes. Because I have the OUT OF THIS WORLD (the TV tie in book adaptation of the OUT OF THIS WORLD TV series episode).

    Season 1 (1994)
    -This season introduced National Science Foundation, Microsoft Home, United States Department of Energy, and Carnegie Corporation of New York.
    Season 2 (1995)
    -The ending tag had Liz appearing behind the logo after the end credits, and Corporation for Public Broadcasting and Viewers Like You joined the roster.
    Season 3 (1996)
    -The 1987 Microsoft logo replaced the 1993 Microsoft Home logo, and the dialogue was edited to replace the word "Microsoft Home" with "Microsoft".
    Season 4 (1997)
    -This season excluded Microsoft, United States Department of Energy, and Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Therefore, the only permanent sponsors were National Science Foundation and Carnegie Corporation of New York.

    • @jacobchang7165
      @jacobchang7165 Před rokem +3

      But SEASON 4 still included "Viewers Like You". Also, in the "Magic School Bus" book promo (through PBS broadcast) the one book "The Magic School Bus: 'Lost in the Solar System'" was only included in the first 2 seasons (that being SEASONS 1 and 2). But in SEASONS 3 and 4 (the final 2 seasons out of 4), it was removed and stopped being included in the book promo.

    • @jacobchang7165
      @jacobchang7165 Před rokem +2

      According to "Magic School Bus Wiki", the "Going Batty" and "In a Pickle" both failed to credit (in the funding credits) "CPB" and "Viewers Like You". And in "The Busasaurus", the funding credits were not seen and went directly to the "book promotion" after the end credits. I know that because when VHS videos were still around and I checked out "The Busasaurus" VHS video from the library, it did not have the funding credits. (That is, even though "CPB" and "Viewers Like You" joined the funding credits roster beginning in SEASON 2.)

      You should know that reruns were on PBS until Sept. 25, 1998. And I think that reruns reused the SEASON 4 funding credits. You are right about all 4 SEASONS. But RERUNS (of episodes) reused the funding credits from SEASON 4 from here on out until Sept. 25, 1998.
