Finlandia, The Nordic Male Choir Festival in Harpa Reykjavík Concert Hall, May 14th 2016 .

- On the occasion of The male choir Fóstbræður´s centennial celebration the choir held The Nordic Male Choir Festival in cooperation with NSF (Nordic Male Choir Association) on may 12th to 14th 2016. 23 choirs took part in the Festival and on the last day they gathered to a concert with almost 1000 singers in Eldborg, the main hall of Harpa.

About twenty years ago I was in Prague on business. I wandered off for a break from work into the Old Town Square where there was a choir festival underway. One male voice choir performed this and I found I was reduced to tears within its first verse. I can hardly listen now without an embarrassing reoccurrence.

For many Finns like me, this is absolutely gorgeous. Our Scandinavian fellows have done amazing job to pronounce Finnish like they were natives, even though our language is completely different than that of other Scandinavian countries. Hats off to you.
