That man has PTSD and the state needs to pay for his treatment and anything else he may need.
PSLuvAshanti the state don't pay or compensate felonies. He would have to file a civil sue case and it is very difficult to win. He would have to prove malice and prejudice and if there is a small chance of him connected to what he was charge for its a wrap. Whether it's an associate who committed the crime or if he had any small connection played a small role. The court system don't believe that they make mistakes once it's a ruling by a judge. That would show that their system is broken, no good.

Sometimes its difficult to make sense of it but its what it is. Just think of it as a boys club or girls club with a president and everybody is home boys or home girls. M E the state don't work like that and never will. You can try to sue the state civil case but they just don't give money to a person who was wrongfully convicted. He will have to show that he was wrongfully convicted that his case has malice. Not easy to do.

@@jasminej6281 yes the state can. It happens, wrongful incarceration by misjudged jury because of bogus evidence, false statement, etc..... The problem is one found guilty, sentence by a judge it is very difficult to get compensated for time served. The reasons are several: no court system wants to pay or accept the fact they were wrong. He will have to file for a civil sue case and show the reason he deserves compensation with his lawyer. Not an easy case to win. He would have to be completely innocent. Maybe he didn't do the shooting but he was there, maybe he associate in some way with the crime, maybe he had already been a offender of another crime( felony ). Lots of time when someone says they was convicted of a crime they didn't commit and serve time for it. It doesn't mean that he was not connected to the crime. Maybe he didn't want to snitched as was given the alternative if he doesn't give up a name then he takes the responsibility. He seems like he has mature and i pray for him to be blessed the rest of his life. I hope I gave you a broader scope of this type of situation. Have a nice day

@@jasminej6281 well not me because in America if you well educated with university degrees and you have a good professional job or successful most of the time they will treat you different. They know at that level you can afford a good lawyer and you have the intelligent to challenge the authority. I stay away from getting in trouble with the law it's never a good idea the odds are against you. More black men have to get educated so they can become successful and have a better understanding of how the system works.

When the episode started out with the judge talking about prison, I didn't know what to expect, but certainly not to hear that he was locked up for a crime he did not commit. That is absolutely heartbreaking. I truly hope that he lives his life to the fullest each day, and am so glad that he did not have to serve that life sentence!
I really wasn't into the woman this time either. Being crazy on social media is an obvious no, but at least she seemed to realize that she was being insane blaming him when she was the one stirring the pot to begin with. I feel that she is not really suited for him. Nothing against her, just that I don't feel that they are right for each other. But hey, what do I know? I only watched them for 20 minutes!

I don't like her , I think she's cheating. She's very sneaky. Doesn't want him around. When she goes party he can't go with her, he's not even allowed in her place of work. To add insult to the injury, she seems so detached to his problems, she seems so selfish. They seem good people but she's not right for him. He needs someone more caring ,she's too busy having fun.

She's not a cheater. This same couple was on couples court. She passed the lie detector test. But she eventually broke up with him because of his accusations
He’s so adorable. I hope he finds help and joy. This man has been through hell. He needs a real woman to help him heel. She has no business going through that mans phone if she’s secure she would be bothered about who’s texting him.
This is one of the better episodes I've seen in a while. The lady doesn't seem like a bad person. At the end, she says she doesn't feel she's capable of providing the emotional support he needs. She's being honest and her actions are proving it. I don't think she's a bad person, just not a right fit for the man. And I can't imagine what the guy has gone through. He seems very respectful and well mannered. He has his issues he needs to work through and I believe he can. If the lady is not willing to help him through it, that's her choice and she's perfectly fine in doing so. I hope he finds someone that can support him and be patient with him the way he needs. Patience Die Geduld They are compensated in some states but there are guidelines and rules. Not every state does this but many do. If you're a convicted felon you are typically not compensated.

Considering he was in prison for 12 years, he is a kind, respectable, good man. Prison could have really changed him for the worst but he didn't let his bad situation change his heart. I hope he gets financial compensation for the mistake SC made by putting him in prison.
My heart breaks for him. The women lacks understanding. It's either your friends who can't hold you at night, nor hold you down financially or your husband who needs your support right now. She being selfish, and immature.

nnamdi philip i respectfully say, its not societal, its personal. Everyone has baggage, its just what baggage you are willing to tolerate. This is a very difficult situation and neither one of them seem like bad people. She may not be able to stick with him but it comes down to tolerance and love.
But that's exactly the point here, if you can't tolerate someone's baggage leave, not stay in a 3 1/2 yr relationship and then decide it's too much. Especially after admitting that you don't do anything to help him with his baggage. You knew what you were getting and if you didn't leave asoon you realize it's not something you can deal with.

They were on Couples Court and he was accusing her of cheating. It was proven she wasn't cheating. He doesn't need to be in a relationship until he attends and works therapy.
I already knew the outcome when the judge says you have to support and be strong for him because of what he has been through. She already checked out at that point.
She doesn't seem emotionally stable to provide what he needs. She's clearly been cheated on before & keeps looking for the same thing here... Wish them both happiness!!!
I hope he gets the help he needs to work his way back into daily life. Listening to him speak about his challenges really hurt my heart, especially the rights he no longer has that we often take for granted. Maybe she can be a positive force in his life, maybe not. I don’t think she’s a bad person, but I don’t know that she’s the right person for him.
