- How to use a vacuum gauge on a carbureted engine to diagnose problems like a sticky valve, ignition component problems or too much advanced timing, a dirty air filter, vacuum leaks, worn piston rings, improper cam timing, rich or lean mixture, and more. great video, where is the rest of it?
where's the rest? SHAME ON YOU HOLLEY.
yes shame on them - to leave people hanging half way through??? What gives???
Yeah please put the full video on.This one is very informative :)
did you ever find the rest
i need number 7!
I have a Ford f 150 truck 4x4 model 89 5ltr winsor gt40 heads weiland intake 2 in rise stage 2 cam with a 600 holley vacuum second i am running 65 main jets 6.5 power valve when I first got it it was using 70 main 65 valve its users oil and don't blow any smoke if i dropped to 60 main would they be to small due to the high runners and make it lean out then blow up just thinking that the distance from the carb to the manafold base its about 3 inch of lift and will i use a 8.5 power valve because of the high rises
What ICUC007 said, would love to see what conditions 7 - 12 mean on the vacuum gauge.
what should my vacuum gauge read with a camshaft thats alittle bigger than your stock cam ..i have a 1990 k5 blazer 350 engine it has rebuild with up graded the cam to a howard rattler cam intake lift 225 exhaust 535 duration 227/235 lobe separation 109 centerline 103 i check to see how mush vacuum i were getting and its no where near 19 to 21 of mercury .. the needle is in the red area sitting on 10 where it say late value timing or leak at intake manifold or heat riser my engine has about 480 miles on it.
where can you buy the L shape brass fitting for the gauge and some tubing? Thanks.
@Lokivoid changed the cap , rotor , wires , and adjusted the mixture and idle ,
i think the mixture was off
@Lokivoid no but i noticed more power and no more chuggy sensation at parking lot speeds..
My gauge is showing the reading on number 3 in this video, so thats relieving because I already know i have ignition work to do. Very helpful- thank you!
Dealing with an issue, did you find your solution?
@@bryanturner683 yes, new points condenser plugs wires cap rotor fixed my needle bounce and engine stall in gear. Of course also set point gap and dwell
@@thisoldbelair Thanks
my car runs rough at 1200 rpm rpm 1500 rpm then smooths out
still doesnt run perfect and kinda get a skip felling going down the road its barley noticeable
Where the heck is the rest of this video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for making informative videos
Full video please
Спасибо.
What causes cranking vacuum to fluctuate
Where's the rest of the video? This thing was cut short.
This would have been super useful if they had downloaded the whole video
Almost been 10 year anniversary for this video NOW WHY DID YOU ONLY LIST FIVE VACUUM GUAGE READINGS??! theres plenty more vaccum guage readings than shown you gurus must teach we demand more knowledge!
I LEARN SOMETHING TODAY
Where’s the rest of the video??
I need 9 what is it.
Sometimes emptying the vacuum bag raises the needle.
because that would flood the intake manifold with fuel and could cause bad explosions.
cheeze, i am waiting for no. 7 and the presentation ends.
Bob White same!!>:(
Same
Okay I thought it was just me, but then I read a few comments.
What the hell man, where is the rest of the video?!
i met a guy once whose name was meitu. pronounced me too! lol
why not?
why the video get cut short tho. bs
Ok its no.3 my problem right now. Time to change spark plug wires.
Did that work?
@@bryanturner683 Wow it's been 4 years since I was having this problem. But no, changing spark plug wires did not solve my vacuum problem. Coincidentally, my vacuum readings became very stable after I changed my carburetor together with another intake manifold.
@@ThePeanutization Thanks,, changing wires did not solve my issue today either. Im heading for a rebuild???
stops too soon! Incomplete information!
WTF !
Were video producers that dumb in 2009?
