I have watched and compared a lot of Diana and Acton pas de deux. As I write this I realize that comparison is futile. It is today so very much more techical prowess pushed to the extreme than artistry but then...I am not so sure. It is just my instinctive appreciation as I am not a ballet expert. Somehow this rendition by the young Nureyev and Beriosova has something I cannot describe just I find it talking to my artistic sensivity in a way that none of those newer version has ever done.,,Sorry for my bad English

Beriosova was a glorious ballerina who deserved to be a bigger star. She would have been a perfect partner for Rudi although maybe a bit too tall for him.
I'll take Beriosova over Fonteyn every time! She was superb! Great partnership. Would love to have seen her Coppelia. Rudi at his best here!❤❤❤❤
