- Once a number of arrangements were made for a big yajna on the bank of the Sarasvati river. A large number of sages and seers came from far and wide to attend it. During their discussion, the question arose as to who was greater among Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Shiva. Unable to settle this between them, the sage Bhrigu, the son of Brahma, was sent to settle the matter. First, Bhrigu went to his father Lord Brahma. As he approached him, Bhrigu did not bow or show any sign of respect to him. Lord Brahma was clearly angry with his son, but he held back and calmed down. But when Lord Brahma was about to curse, he remembered that this is my son. So they drank the rage. However, it could not hide from Bhrigu and asked Lord Brahma's permission to depart from there.
For me, these three Gods are same. They are three supreme.🙂
Actually for me, GOD means-
G- Generator (Brahma)
O- Operator (Vishnu)
D- Destroyer (Shiva)

Bhrigu is considered one of the 7 sapta rishis. One of the prajapatis . If a normal person in this kaliyuga knows the essence of lord Vishnu. Then being a saptarishi he will definitely have a very very good Vedic knowledge and will be having predominantly(99%) sattva Guna . Having all this qualities , I don't think he will go to vaikuntha which is almost next to impossible , but even if he went there with this Earthly body, then he would definitely not have hit lord Vishnu.
I think we should not literally take everything as it is in Puranas. Some stories in Puranas has to be taken symbolically and has to inferred in a very context based. No power in the universe can hit lord Vishnu or lord Shiva . They are above Space-time and they are definitely above 11 dimensions of the universe. Ithihasas ( Ramayana and Mahabharata )can be taken literally almost 97-98% of time but Puranas have to be extrapolated. In this Kaliyuga we need to be very careful following sanatana Dharma , otherwise the external forces will take advantage of us.

There are rules of interpretation when to use literall and when to use metaphorical interpretation, however this story is to be taken literally it exactly how it is interpreted by poorvacharyas. Also Nobody knows who God is in essence not even Brahma nor any other Rishi. Bhrigu Muni didn't enter the para Vaikuntha or the mukta sthan but the lower vaikuntha where rishis and devtas are allowed to enter, this is called Leela vaikuntha.
For their devotees all of them are one..

Vairagya means detachment. Lord Shiva is the personification of detachment 'Na Maan Ka Moha Na Apman Ka Bhay' no lust for respect, no fear of disrespect. And yet he would be angry because some sage of one universe out of the infinite universes disrespected the all mighty? A lot of people crafted a lot of such stories as pleased by them. One must not believe in everything one hears, just believe in the values that are meant to be learnt, and believe in humanity that is all one needs to do in order to get his blessing.

God is nirakar and . Devata like Brahma & shankar can't be that much angry at such small things . In kaliyug not even a single man can get that much angry so that he has to curse somebody or kill by trident just because someone didn't bow or greet him . On the other hand lord Narayana can't be sleepy like a lazy person so he can't hear someone is coming . Isn't it tamas guna . And devi devta are all divine , full of virtue . The main point are God is nirakar (incorporeal) and he loves everyone no matter what .

1. Lord Krishna is not superior than Lord Vishnu. It’s only ISKCON’s misconception. It’s never mentioned in Bhagavata. They say that because they think Krishna Avatara is Purna Avatara. And because of the leelas Krishna did.
2. I had a similar question, but I feel all have the same stories with the same endings as the whole universe was created by Narayana for benefit of the atmas which is eternal. Only when are atmas are purified we can attain mukthi. If not it’s an endless cycle. If you come to know the size of one atma, you’ll be astonished! It’s that small!

All have their own importance and own functions. If we are sansaarik then Vishnu is great and if we denounce the worldly things and think beyond reality then Shiva is great. It's absolutely futile to give the #1 position as both are from completely different zones. But ultimately Almighty is One.

I had same question.... As per humans the one who came first is great, in our Kalpa Maha Vishnu came first so he is Supreme but in other kalpas Maha Shiv and Brahma came first and so on and all our puranas are based on several kalpas not just one. This is what I have read from several books and other sources so I don't know how much of it is true.

Some people seems confused here , how can bhrigu Muni enter vaikuntha? First of all this story is a legit story and authentic which is quoted by purvacharyas. This story is mentioned in bhagvatam, and it's laughable to see hindu unable to digest that it really happened. Yes, the sages were in doubt as to who is supreme god, so clearly they weren't like modern Hindus who thrive on polytheism or the notion that 'All gods are same'. All the sages were gathered to decide and resolve this dilemma, it means they had the concept that there can only be one supreme God. They sent bhrigu Muni and it's clear that the verdict was that Vishnu is the supreme God. Now People thinking how can bhrigu Muni enter vaikuntha? So maybe they aren't aware, In vaikuntha you have Moksha sthan(Where only liberated soul enters not even Brahma, rudra, etc can enter there), the other part of vaikuntha is called "Amukta sthan or karya vaikuntha or Leela vaikuntha" here the lord resides so that Brahma etc can take Refuge and seek his guidance when they are in trouble, so it is this lower part of vaikuntha accessible to rishis and devtas that bhrigu muni entered. This is where the Jaya-Vijay Leela took place, this is where hiranyakashipu went to kill the lord(Failed obviously), this is generally where Narad Rishi visits to see the lord, it's the ksheer Sagar which is located in lower part of vaikuntha. Here the god resides out of mercy because the Moksha sthan of vaikuntha are only accessible after liberation.

He went to the Svetadwipa, which is located in Kshirsagar, the ocean of milk, which is in this universe itself. Svetadwipa is also known as "Vaikuntha of this universe". Sometimes this Sevtadwipa is misunderstood as the ACTUAL VAIKUNTHA

In Krishnaavatar, Radhaji is always beside Krishna. And their love is exceptional.
Hmm you are right, there is no shakta matha for Mata Lakshami, but she is always worshipped in Vishnu Mandirs. they both are always worshipped together. And many a time you see them together. And more importantly, Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth. People worship her inside their homes. Because they want to keep her at their homes. Parvati is always worshipped as Shiva's consort in Shiva temples and at homes, however, as Kaali and Durga, she is worshipped as Shakti. They are not as often worshipped at homes, but outside in temples.
