The panopticon dying is scripted. There is an arm coming out of the panopticon, which means that Sisyphus literally smashed out of his own prison. This is further backed up by the voice lines.
ah that makes way more sense it happened so fast i was confused, that’s really cool now that i think about it. I do feel like the fight was a little too short there for my liking but the sisyphus was long enough already.
So that means that Minos was simply wallowing in his own sorrow while we fight Flesh Prison?
@@IcarusMundi no, I think it has to do with the fact that Sisyphus was much stronger than Minos (prime soul of a pacifist vs prime soul of a warrior), so a flesh prison would hold Minos til it breaks, while Sisyphus just needed a little help before doing it himself. But it would make sense that Minos would be wallowing in his own sorrow as well.
@@thegam3r23_shad0wfret not. Ultralkill will be getting encore levels with different enemy placements and stuff, and Panopticon will be getting a full fight in these new levels.
@@IcarusMundi if you read Sisyphus Prime and the flesh panopticon’s terminal entry, it says that his prime soul started forming before they had the chance to put him in the prison.
Minos didn’t have such a chance, as we see his soul forming after we defeat flesh prison.

The part where panopticon died almost instantly was scripted. I remember during my run I thought it was a bug too until I saw his arm poking out of the mouth of the prison.
I thought I was good because the fight ended so fast and then Sisyphus humbled me real fast

27:18 Minos' snakes are a reference to how he is depicted in the Divine Comedy (Ultrakill's setting is Hell as depicted, more or less, in the Inferno, the first part of the Comedy), where he's a snake like monster that judges souls to their place in hell.

@@theermac6024 no actually, the terminals are the style meter. That’s why the points you buy weapons with are determined by your style, a high style meter means the terminals are happier with how you fight and will let you have more equipment.

27:09 I think the biggest detail about Minos' cosmetics is that he doesn't have a face because he was a 'faceless ruler', and did not use his status to paint himself as someone better than his citizens or deserving of praise.

I believe what the terminal entry means is that-
Because the communication with surface terminals has been cut, new information cannot be collected and distributed; thus each terminal has begun to grow “bored” with the same circulating information. To sate this boredom, the terminals extract the information of each machine that passes through and grades their performance (the grades when you transition from area to area through the chutes) and rewards points depending on your score, which the machine (in this case V1) uses to obtain new weapons from the terminals.
The fucking Sisyphus breaking out of the Prison also scared me ☠️, I was so confused if that was either intentional or I accidentally did something stupid ☠️☠️

It's interesting that in P-1 you kill 2 bosses to complete the stage but at P-2 you have to complete a whole ass level and defeat one of the strongest bosses in the game
