Ultimate camper conversion small car (Skoda Fabia Combi). 1 or 2 persons & folds away in the trunk!

- I wasn't able to find any conversion kits that would completely fold away in the trunk, so I came up with my own. Also; this is the family car so all you see can be taken out in a matter of 5 minutes. Only for the smoke alarm and lights there are small metal plates attached to the roof where the magnets can attach to.
This was my first time trying it out. The bedding and kitchen countertop worked perfect, the blinds will need some adjusting. I made one blind with ABS plastic or as called in the Hornbach shop 'Hobbycolor' for building models and such. This one works like a charm, clicking on with magnets and already being black and lightweight, it took me way less time than to make then others. I will make the others from this material as well.
In a next video I will show in more detail, it was cold and windy so I wanted to cuddle up in the nice and cosy inside of my Skoda camper😉
Couple more details:
- Used 10 cm latex matras top, really easy to roll up and still very comfortable and bouncy.
- Two sheepskins rugs for ultimate warmth.
- Snugpak elite 2 for sleeping bag
- Oiled the countertop to make it waterproof and let the grain come out
- The narrow channel in which the trunk cover slides, was used to click in a 1 cm triplex board with hinges. On top of that the more solid countertop was screwed and glued.
- The curtain to seperate the front compartiment from the back is a laminate from a curtain and rollup curtain for ultimate blackout and stiffness.

Simple, easy to install, and also easy to remove by the looks of it.
The kitchen is a nice setup. Very smart with the hinge, so you can use the entire width.
Would really like to see how the folding/unfolding of the bed works. Same goes for the flipping around of the kitchen.
Hi Antoine, put a lot of time and thought in building this. Spend way more time building it than using it😂
Only thing I would change in hindsight is using triplex made out of popular trees, little bit more expensive but lighter. The total box is easy to take out and put in, put some swivvel weels on it, but is on the heavy side. Might be showing the box and total setup in the near future, just got to find the time for it😂

Zelf heb ik nog een ouwe skibox van de kringloopwinkel op dak gemonteerd. Wanneer je dan gaat slapen leg je hier alle ,prut,in die in de weg ligt.
Bedankt! Is ook een goede, heb ik ook nog liggen. Merkte bij de trip in de zomer dat het best wat schuiven is met spullen, maar had dan wel weer wel een kano op het dak dus geen ruimte voor dakkoffer en juist nog meer spullen mee😂
@@Buitenpapa ....dakkoffer ruilen voor een skibox? Die is immers net als de kano lang en smal....

Looks great! Nice and cozy! But PLEASE store your knife differently (at least while driving), because it shoot forward in case of a (frontal) collision!
Thanks! While driving it is stored in a box and with nice weather the kitchen is facing towards the back for outdoor cooking, but still..exposing a knife to traffic from the back is at least frowned upon by people, let alone ticketed by cops😉 So in every case it is stored elsewhere.

Dutch people ( specially after Joris Driepinter schoolmilk actions) tend to grow tall., have you considered to swap the passenger seatbfor a swivel seat? ( een model wat ol z'n minst 180 graden kan draaien) to be able te extend the sleeping plane on the right side using also het zitblak van de rechter vooorstoel?

It's long enough for me and the misses and it's our family car as well, so don't want to jinx it up. Also, love the stuff I can do by myself and keep it simple. Now I'm building een overlanding rig with a new Subaru Forester with trailer behind it and 2 rooftop tents, so this project has come to e screeching hold😂

Terechte opmerking! Bij wegrijden keek ik in de spiegel en zag vol in het zicht de messen zitten. Buiten wat ik vind, zou de politie ook hun vraagtekens erbij zetten. Dus inderdaad opgeborgen wanneer ik rijd.
