  • Scott Ritter is a former Marine intelligence officer who served in the former Soviet Union, implementing arms control agreements, and on the staff of General Norman Schwartzkopf during the Gulf War, where he played a critical role in the hunt for Iraqi SCUD missiles. From 1991 until 1998, Mr. Ritter served as a Chief Inspector for the United Nations in Iraq, leading the search for Iraq’s proscribed weapons of mass destruction. Mr. Ritter was a vocal critic of the American decision to go to war with Iraq. His new book, Disarmament in the Time of Perestroika: Arms Control and the End of the Soviet Union, is his ninth.

Sorry to say: Western civilians are their own enemies. They have been sleeping on for the last 50 years, where are the people of Canada, USA, UK, Australia, Germany, France on Siria? Afeghanistan? Libia? Iraq? Iemen? Somalia? Kosovo? and the list goes on... Where were you people? i see... you have been living a life, a good life, in the price of millions and millions of people that have died on yours goverments.
You have been consenting, saying YES for everything your goverment does around the world... No words about it, no rallies, no anything, because those countries could not KILL YOU ALL. This is the true. While you got CHEAP GAS, CHEAP ENERGY, CHEAP FOOD, CHEAP EVERYTHING...

You have no clue what poverty means. have no idea. Go to Africa, go to Palestine, go to Ukraine, and you will find out what poverty means. What you people have is lazyness, lazyness of bringing the goverment down.
You all (american, british, canadians, french, germans, etc) live a dream life, surrounded with special care, facilities, and your corrupt goverment, that you people voted for, have been spreading CAOS around the globe for so long that you have no clue whats going on over iraq, syria, libia, iemen, somalia, afeghanistan, etc. etc. etc... yeah when your goverment attacked those countries you have agreed with that, you have paid the price, cheap gas, cheap food, cheap energy, jobs, everything at your hands, in the mean while, MILLIONS AND MILLIONS of people on those countries where been attacked by the BULLIES.
Now, your goverment HAVE MESS WITH THE WRONG COUNTRY, that will not leave any piece of earth together, if you attack them, yes Russia will make western countries pay dearly if they attack Russia, War will nock your doors, i think its time for you all to get some moral compass, and start changing your POLITICIANS, dont vote for those same people that were choosen by the banquers, blackrock/vanguard/etc have always been electing the politicians for you all. As an American, i am very Embarrassed and ashamed of my government. Scott is speaking pure facts about Ukraine and Russia, i agree with his pov and overview of the geopolitics involved.
From Day 1, ive been saying Russia is going to win the war and been rooting for them ever since, its not that i hate anyone or my own country, i hate Fascists and the greedy, warmongering imperialists who want war and world domination.
I see Russia as the one who has the right reason, the justification for what they are doing, they gave the west and Ukraine SEVERAL warnings and despite all them warnings, the West and Ukraine did it regardless so Russia fulfilled their warnings.
Its absolutely no damn different than when America went to war with Afghanistan or Iraq or Vietnam, America went to war with Al Qaeda because of the Deaths of thousands of Americans from 9/11, same for war with Japan, after Pearl Harbor, we had a great reason to go to war.
Same for Russia! Russians in Ukraine were being slaughtered by the thousands and being ethnically cleansed, Russia had the Right response to it, they demanded blood for the slaughter of its people. Eye for an Eye, tooth for a Tooth! Russia is not the bad guy in this, Zelensky is the bad guy, joe Biden is the bad guy, Emanuel Macron is the bad guy, Boris johnson is the bad guy! Western media is Propaganda spewing bullshit for the Fascists in power!
The People of the West, only want PEACE and Unity with everyone in the world, we do not want wars, we want Friendship, we want Love and Unity!! Its the Governments of the West thats the Warmongers, the Imperialists, the bloodthirsty, the Conquerors! We all should rise up against them and topple the Globalist elites who control our governments and remove the plagues and let The People, the Peasants rule ourselves! Then there will World Peace and Unity!!

No, the only war that is justified is Afghanistan. Vietnam and Korea were just to stop the spread of communism which ended the former war in a tie and the latter in a defeat. Iraq was just to get rid of Saddam Hussein who wasn’t pro-American and pro-democracy which was based on false reasons of nuclear and chemical weapons which he didn’t have. Iraq fully complied with UN investigations and the UN found there was nothing but pesticides. The US invaded anyway and ending up completely destabilising the region, promoting terrorism and chaos in the process which is what they were trying to stop in the Middle East in the first place.

True,! On 9/11 2,996 people died, including 2,977 victims and 19 hijackers who committed murder-suicide. Thousands more were injured, and long-term health effects have arisen as a consequence of the attacks. As for Iraq the last complete census conducted in 1997 found that from 4.05 million households = approximately 1.03 million people had died as a result of the war. As of March 2023, over 70,000 Afghan and Pakistani civilians are estimated to have died. I think in both cased the figures are underestimated. These countries are far from recovering for the effects of these uncalled for wars.

Fun Fact about Russia: It was Russia who saved The Union during the American Civil War as they sent their Navy to San Francisco and New York when England and France were just about to enter the war on the side of the Confederates since London created the Confederates. France was already in Mexico making a spear head movement to resupply the Confederates and to open up a Pacific Theatre and to create a port in California. England already amassed 11,000 troops and growing stationed at their Northern Confederacies border now called Canada ready to open a Northern Theatre to divert Union troops away from their Southern Confederacy then to attack The Unions naval blockade. The Union would have been completely destroyed and annexed by those two great powers leaving the Confederates to exist as either a puppet state of London or to be fully brought back into the fold of the British Empire.
London was already courting (threatening/bribing) other countries to get involved like Spain while Russia was in talks with Prussia to ally with incase London was to intervene.
Seeing all of this Tsar Alexander II wrote a letter to Queen Victoria saying “If you enter in this war it will be a casus belli for all out war with the Russian Empire”. The stage was set for the 1st World War and Russia stopped it.
There is also a memorial in San Francisco for the hundreds of Russian sailors who came off their Asiatic fleet ships that died while helping the city put out a fire that threatened to lay waste to it during the War.

    • @JPJ432
      @JPJ432 Před 22 dny +22

The Russian fleet also threatened to Shell Australian ports along with other British Pacific Colonies if Britain aided the Confederates. A confederate war ship spent a lot of time in Australian waters and was supported by the Australian public, some even signing on as crew members. This Confederate war ship laid waist to the US Pacific whaling fleet and is reported to have fired the last shot in the war. The name of the ship was called the CSS Shenandoah. Its surrender was at Liverpool England where Confederate Commander Bulloch was stationed.
Bulloch was the head spy Chief for the Confederates and main go between for London, Montreal, and Richmond. He was heavily involved in the finance of the South with British banking and supplied the south with its warships as most of them were made by the British. He was good friends with those who drafted the Very discriminatory Confederate Constitution and those that would later create the 'Clan'. He was also heavily involved in the assassinations of Lincoln and his cabinet members. He was Also the Uncle to President Theodore Roosevelt (on his mothers side of course) and Teddy greatly looked up to him and learned much from him from a very early age. Teddy called him 'Uncle Jimmy'. This is where Teddy Roosevelt got the idea for the 'Eff Bee Eye' he modeled it almost exactly from Londons 'Em Eye 5'.
Russia also helped Thailand (Kingdom of Siam) maintain its sovereignty from being completely Partitioned/Annexed from the British and French around the same time. The very word Thai (ไทย) means 'free man' in the Thai language which is partially to thank to the Russians as they might have ended up being a colony or part of another country/colony if not for their intervention.

@@LeadLeftLeon For a little more context: The British (City of London) are the ones who created our divide in the first place to put brother against brother. After the war Lincoln wanted to rebuild the South and had plans to do so. He and half his Cabinet were assassinated by London. Many of the others that survived had multiple assassination attempts on them especially William Seward who had around a dozen or so, many almost killing him. Most of the Operations for the Civil War and post war plans and assassinations were made in London and then sent to Montreal a hub for spies and intel in the Americas for the British Empire then passed through to Confederate President Jefferson Davis to follow the orders. Many of the South's own leaders were selling out the South to British interest even General Lee. Unfortunately London had many of their Tentacles and Webs on both sides. Lincoln stated that the Department Of State is completely controlled by British Interest that he had to constantly fight against.
It was in the 1870s that a Paradigm Shift happened were the British took control within the Reunited States through subversion (which was easy to do so as all their agents were brought back into the Union and a large part of their opposition killed) and have had it all the way up to this day. Some presidents fought against it like Garfield, McKinley, Harding, Roosevelt, and Kennedy and all were killed. That is the Decade that we turned from a Republic and into an Empire.

@@dt12155 Here is an example of kinship that America use to have with its greatest ally back in the day.
I think you will enjoy this quote from the Russian Foreign Minister Alexander Gorchakov writing to Lincoln in the Autumn of 1862 a year and a half into the war-
"You know that the government of United States has few friends among the Powers. England rejoices over what is happening to you; she longs and prays for your overthrow. France is less actively hostile; her interests would be less affected by the result; but she is not unwilling to see it. She is not your friend. Your situation is getting worse and worse. The chances of preserving the Union are growing more desperate. Can nothing be done to stop this dreadful war? The hope of reunion is growing less and less, and I wish to impress upon your government that the separation, which I fear must come, will be considered by Russia as one of the greatest misfortunes. Russia alone, has stood by you from the first, and will continue to stand by you. We are very, very anxious that some means should be adopted-that any course should be pursued-which will prevent the division which now seems inevitable. One separation will be followed by another; you will break into fragments."

I can understand foreigners who fight for Russia. Some may only be after the money, as are some fighting on Ukraine 's side. But I believe, many understand the origins of this war and they want to be on the side that is fighting for the just cause. Being born in one country doesn't necessarily mean you want to fight for that country once you see through current international politics.
I once had three countries, I felt something for. Germany, where I was born and raised, the US, where I lived for a while and that partly shaped my character, and Poland, where I have spent most of my adult life. But over the last couple of years I had to watch how the governments ( and part of the people) of all three countries have behaved like a..holes on some issues.
Right now, I feel like I have no country any more, that I belong to. I surely would not want to fight in an unjust war for any of them.
I have my own little place that I love and that I would defend, but rather against nefarious actions of my own government.
And I don't even know, if I will stay here, if politics do not change in a major way and Europe goes completely down the drain.

Dear Scott and Nima, youve just described how Russia is on the right side of history, perspective which I share, and which might very well end in nuclear holocaust. That concerns EVERYONE, including mercenaries. The war then becomes obligation to do what we can to stop "the wrong side of the history". We all know who is the real aggressor and who defends their turf . Do we wait until Europe is nuked because Im not Eutopean, or do we stop them asap, anywhere, any time? To me it seems question goes beyond national limits. To me, the "right and wrong" question seems more complex to be limited to nation borders. What do I do to actually get your answer? Thanks guys, doing incredible job!
