Great review, as always. But this one was solid. I actually tried a different shoe. Not really, I tried the Tyshawn Low. Not the same shoe as the Tyshawn. I am no shoe reviewer but after 2 years in the Tyshawn's it was very clear to me how different the shoe felt. Stay Rad Sir. Always appreciate the reviews even if I just keep buying the same shoe.
I’ve always liked vans as a company, and love the aesthetic of their shoes, but I don’t like skating them because I don’t typically like vulc shoes and vans are like the most vulc you can get, but I’d definitely try these
Idk about that better insoles do let you skate longer and if u wear the right insoles for longer times iteans that you'll have better protected feet hence longer use of them
I have two pairs of these and one in white which I wouldn’t suggest. The sides of the shoe have that mesh material which is great for ventilation as well as the front but the front also has material below the mesh which allows debris to get caught in between the front mesh and material under it which is seemingly impossible to get out. This is more of an issue if you’re wearing them as going out sneakers and not actually skating in them where you’re going to tear them up anyway but it does suck if you are wearing them as every day sneakers
There's a colorway of these shoes that came out a couple months ago, the mesh on the athletic red colorway isn't the same material and it rips way easier

i do like the wayvees, super comfortable daily wear shoe. skate well, but i didn't get them strictly for skating. wafflecup is sick, it's available on the bmx versions of several classic shoe models. i'd take it over vulc any day

You can 100% skate longer if the ball of your foot isn't killing you (metatarsalgia) and vulcanised vans have those soft-ass soles that bring it on quick.

What size in your slim laces for the wayvee? I bought some 50" for my Marana's w/ lace lock tabs and they worked great (except I had to enlarge the holes for the lace locks cause the plastic aglet was too thick) Also happy new year, merry x-mas, luv u
I have a pair of these, they're the perfect medium puff. Great board feel for the amount of puff, more flexible than you think they're going to be, and really light.
7 months later but for what it's worth my mesh lasted for a month until the mesh ripped open simultaneously from the places where the shoe bends as you walk.
ever since my ankle injury, the pop cush insoles started aggravating my ankle and causing pain, since it's too soft, but the ultracush 3D insole benefited me more
Can you do a review of the new PF Flyers? They just refurbished the brand, and I would love to see how they compare to Converse. Also, PF’s fit true to size, unlike Converse, which is a whole size down.
Actually insoles can make you skate longer. Impact is energy being transferred through the body less impact = less energy being lost. Watch FP insoles videos and they explain it well.
Little bit of Feedback here. You have a pretty noticable volume increase at one point in the video. Also one cut is a little too early. And the first wafflecup shoe from vans was the stage 4. Loved those.

Wafflecup was first introduced in the vans stage 4 not the kyles. Stage 4 was an amazing shoe too, like 2013-2014.
