Reynolds on Vans is pretty cool. I would love to see a pro model coming out of the company. To be honest, I waiting on the day that Reynolds goes back to Emerica. I'm just glad that he didn't join the Nike team.
Tony might be the face of skateboarding, yeah he can sell games and has birdhouse his board brand still does semi well. He is definitely in no position to have a pro vans shoe. He isent marketable in that sense based on the fact he's an old man who skates Vert, irrelevant to kids to watch street skateboarding/skateboarders who are a little older than them. I'd say before Tony ever gets a shoe Reynolds will have a shoe.
It’s not a new shoe. It’s a signature colorway, so they’ll be the exact same as the regular skate classics. I think the only difference is that the uppers are suede on the Reynolds old skool instead of the usual canvas. Also all the advertising about the fully redesigned upper and new technology is just for the new skate classics line, it’s in the description for all the new skate shoes.
@@punkrockpirate08 when it comes to wear tests for his channel, he skates them for an extended period of time to show how well they stand up to skating. I dont care for a try on and physically wear them test because it proves nothing aside from feet go into shoes...and that's it, and its expected to wear shoes on your feet. I want to see how well they skate and how durable they are when skating them long term. And im sure all the people liking my original comment could agree with that as well

Reynolds talked about this on the Nine Club. So he said it was quite refreshing having more options skating different Vans shoes (he likes the classic pro ones a lot) rather than skating the exact same Emerica Reynolds for years.
Is it just me that thinks he should make a progress video on him finding insoles like he did with his laces? Thats is probably one of my favorite products and am so excited for the insoles
I love your contet, but yes color ways like this are always the same thing as the standard . Same as the olympic Nyjah 2s. Theyre not advertised to be any different its just a limited run color way. The redesign is referring to the fact that all of the pro models were updated . That is why there is now a checkered tab instead of the old pro design, to differentiate these and all other pro models from the previous iterations .

Now these, are designed to be the SKATE version which has been out, but they do proport to be redesigned in terms of more durability etc NO, of course youre right not on the basis of the color way, but on the basis of it being the "SKATE" versions... DURACAP, POPCUSH, SICKSTICK etc... So of course the "SKATE" versions are the Skate versions and upgraded in that sense (at least claimed) but I dont believe he thought the colorway or his name being on it was the grounds for it being "upgraded" but instead the fact they were the "SKATE" version therefore updated in that regard. *Then again I just read his reply so maybe he DID think that and what you said was relevant and I just typed all this for nothing 🤣🤣🥴🥴😢 So basically I just repeated what you said but 12x longer 😆😆😶😒 In fact I should delete this but I mean I typed it all out already.

Please do more of the recent soletech models that came out. I wanna see some of these models: Emerica Gamma, Emerica KSL G6, Emerica Pillar, eS Cykle, eS Silo, eS Quattro, Etnies Windrow, Etnies Joslin Vulc. Also the Nike Force 58 and the New Balance Brandon Westgate shoe.
I think personally Vans just didn’t want to give him his own model yet? Or what’s also likely is that they’re still in the process of making his shoe and he’s just been skating these three shoes consistently so he just wanted his own colorway so he could make some of that sweet sweet Vans money in the meantime ( Which he 100% deserves haha).
I remember having the emerica Reynolds 2 and 3 s back in the days and they were brilliant shoes. Don't think vans could out do that comfort from what I remember.
Working on your own insoles? That sounds interesting. I stick with FP (king foam model): they are protective and last a long time (use them for more than a year now and they do not degrade). Maybe make a collab with them?
I could see them giving him his own shoe later on. I think they just don't want to come out with too many new models in a short period of time. Right now they have the wayvee and Lizzie's pro shoe comes out early 2022. They most likely want to space them out so they can market them properly.
@@SteezyG I think it's just what Vans had scheduled. From what I saw the next quarter is going to focus on Lizzie, the revamped Gilbert Crockett, and the Wayvee. Maybe we can get a new Reynolds shoe by next summer.
I’ve kinda moved away from Vulcanized shoes in general, I like the board feel on them but I just tear through them so fast, Cupsoles are just so much more durable, I was skating Chris Coles The Trooper from Fallen, because they were a solid shoes and the last forever, but I’ve switched to the Nyjah II, because it’s like the beat of both, you get the sturdy structure and durability of a cup sole and the board feel of a Vulc shoe
If the shoes do well they will probably give him his own shoe. He's also filming another video part at 40,it obviously won't be anything like Baker 3 or Stay Gold but still. He is putting himself out there and will drop another video. People will get hyped up about that and the awerness that he's on Vans by that time will be 100 %. Then,he gets his own shoe on Vans.
It's so frustrating that shoe companies are not giving out pro shoes but instead just making colourways of shoes that were never made for skating. Used to love pro shoes that were properly designed for skating
What i dont understand is why is the foxing tape not tucked into the tough toe rubber on the inside. I would think vans would know by now that what if for some reason the stamp or whatever on the back can peel off then the foxing tape would fall apart. Whatever you know what I dont care I wear fallen and thats that. Maybe its the OCD kicking in about the way the foxing tape on Vans are.
I have a feeling that it’s due to multiple factors, such as cost/sales implications, and marketability. I think for now, Vans is trying to see with these colorways how much it’ll bring sales to their skateboarding line and if it hits then they work on a pro model. Or maybe it’s just because he’s okay with not having a pro model shoe anymore haha (thinking like how big names like Guy Mariano moving to Nike and Marc Johnson moving to Adidas who had pro colorways instead)
The K walks 2 is great with that stupid strap thing if you got wide feet. Get a fat foot and you will dig the Vans. I got dome Emerica slip ons and I noticed they aren’t at grippy as a Vans. Dow side Vans blow out faster but I’ll take the compromise of foot torture of narrow shoes.

Reynolds said in his nine club interview that he doesn't want a pro skate shoe again. Having a pro skate shoe these days means you got to put out footage and a part, and he said he doesn't want to take away the chance for another pro deserving of it. He doesn't want one.
