I have a first model year St Vincent in blue and feel that it is a very nice and cool guitar. Mine has the all rosewood neck. If I remember right it's about 6.5 lbs. I really dig the DiMarzio mini hums. They have useful tones in all 5 switch positions and a cool voice different than all my other guitars.

Best is subjective. But it's Pete :-) They used to have Paul Hindmarsh help out from time to time (Line 6/Yamaha product demonstrator) and I prefer him. Sometimes they'd have Pete and Paul Hindmarsh on together - those jams would be worth buying.
