Shes a true lady that shows respect and doesn't let fame change who she originally is (a genuine soul). While most get caught up in all the narcissistic behavior that's so cringeworthy, they wonder why no one likes them.smh!!! With all that said, Imo, he's got the best male vocals I've heard in a long time and just about every song is a hit! He too, has a powerhouse voice and is so unique from other male singers, that, that alone won't stop him from catapulting further and further into one of the best male vocalist of this era! Btw, fun fact....The late Tom Petty's former agents/ songwriters tried to sue Sam Smith over this particular song bc the melody is a slower version of,'Wont back down" a very popular song by Petty in the late 80's, but Sam had no idea and was so upset that he didn't mind paying for an honest mistake. But, the judge was a good guy apparently bc I guess he saw the genuine shock/innocence in Sam being clueless to it. Truthfully, I would've never known myself if I didn't hear about it on You Tube. Poor guy and Tom Petty has been gone for a while now, so its so ridiculous how people will stop at nothing to rob you.smh

Mary J has always respected other vocalist this alone makes her an Amazing artist. She killed it on the “Stand Up for Cancer” live on stage, tho, and on stage with Carol King concert in Japan. Those are only few of the times she’s shown how gifted she really is and that she’s simply and truly holding back.
Only certain artists and songs can pull the best out of Mary J. So while some say she can’t sing..they really need to do their research and learn why she’s the Queen of Hip Hop/Soul and R&B and why she can collaborate with any artist in any genre and era.
