Diddy Kong was definitely my favorite out of the two. The music, the gameplay, and mini games were so much fun. Spent hours playing that game as a kid.
The music 20+ years on it still takes me back to my childhood. I remember sitting with my brother playing it for hours. Good Times.

Where did you get that illusion of Gaia shirt one of my fav games of all time! đ Was called illusion of time here put so much time into it! Defo go for a bit of Diddy on N64 there needs to be a campaign for a sequel!

Diddy Kong is my all time favorite game! Such great memories playing as a kid with my little sister.
It's cool that you can start these collections with $10 but unfortunately for me where I stay there is not enough stuff(or places)out here to make any money on. What stuff u do find is either junk, over priced or right at make value. So for me and I'm sure a quite a few others where stuck paying full price and get lucky if we catch a deal.
The trick is to buy multiple games at once from a seller and you can bargain them down.
Without a doubt Diddy Kong Racing, in my opinion one of the best, and original racing games that Nintendo has ever released.

Another fun week! I love the N64 hunt! I am curious though if only 3 games need the expansion pack why do games like Gauntlet and Indiana Jones show them while loading? Is it just an enhanced experience vs actual need for the other 3? And while Mario kart is a staple that should be in every collection, I still think Diddy Kong Racing is a better game. I feel typically when played solo I pick DK every time, when entertaining guests I think Mario Kart comes out based on name alone.

I canât believe how much retro games are going for these days.I used to hunt for retro games back in the day and most of the games I found were $2 to $3 each.Now theyâre harder to find and very expensive,maybe thatâs I why I stopped.Good thing I kept all of them.Great finds!!Great video!!đđ

I bought a few back in 2014 and I was paying around $10, the highest i paid was for ocarina which cost me $25.
both games are amazing but the edge to Diddy Kong for being the underdog and givin you the adventure mode. BTW where the heck has DIddy been?
I hope the next episode is back in the game room. I'd love to see the shelf updated!

Just started my n64 pal version collection. Its tough here in the Netherlands but I love the trill of the hunt and trying to do it on a budged.
Diddy Kong 100% over MarioKart 64. Single player adventure mode on Diddy Kong is still a good challenge to this day!!

What I can appreciate about you is that you pay a fair price for the games. Unlike other youtubers there trying to nickel and dime vendors just because they have to "make a profit".
I love the open world concept of diddy. It also seemed more like a campaign with Easter eggs to find. Just purchased it for myself and excited. Loved kart but it is pretty locked at being the same thing over and over

I only played a few N64 games in my life. But hearing Rick talk about certain titles over and over again makes me want to pick them up. I am a big Star Wars guy and tend to lean toward those games for each system.

Rick man Snowboard Kids 2 and Diddy Kong Racing were my jams haha, love Mario Kart of course but something about the adventure mode in Diddy Kong always gave me a rush lol good times as a kid

I remember playing Donkey Kong 64 all the time and never had an expansion pack. Never had a problem running it. Didnât even know it existed at the time.
Golden Eye, Starfox, Mario Kart, Pokémon Stadium , Turok. The list goes on.
Snowboard Kids is one of my favorites! Bummed to see it get passed on.

Cool finds! I am more of a Mario kart 64 person myself simply because that's just what I have. I love going back to that game from time to time. I haven't given Diddy Kong racing a try yet. Will have to check it out sometime
Mario Kart was the better racer, but as an overall game, diddy kong wins, i'd love another story driven game like it now.... oddly i wouldnt want Mario Kart to copy the model though, feel its better sticking to what it does

The prices for N64 games are heavy in the US, I mean Mischief Makers for 40$. Got mine as Pal Version in Germany for about 10âŹ. My collection would be a financial nightmare in the US :D

And this was the last video of the series too for me. I'm all cut up on this series. Very very cool interesting series. I always wanted to try buying and trading up for something myself. But all I got is a old cell phone that can't even download whatnot. LOL

Killer Instinct Gold was a quick job port for the N64 from the Ultra 64 hardware that the original version was run on. They could have done a better job on this game for the N64.

Chameleon Twist was soooo good.
I loved Diddy Kong because I could play it on my own and make progress and have great fun. But Mariokaet just had the better races for multiplayerâŠ.so that was the game that my friends and I spent all our time playing đ

I have complete set of the Captain N comics along with Zelda, Gameboy, Mario bros. Captain N is complete and Zelda is too. Mario bros missing 2 issue variants. Itâs crazy what they go for now.
That last vendor was cool .jest shows how good the game comuity can be
i'm a 2000s kid so i grew up with the ps2 so never used a n64

Mario kart 64 and Diddy Kong racing both awesome but I got to give it to Diddy Kong.
And I don't know or remember if Donkey Kong 64 had something in it to prevent you from playing without the expansion pack but apparently it didn't need it other than it became unstable without it because of an error in it's code
