Great phone! Bought this phone for christmas and love almost everything about it. The build quality is just amazing. camera is great, and WP8 is smooth. The battery life could be better, but I quess the same can be said about all the smart phones these days.

MrDaChampR yeah. android is definitely better. however you need a really good phone to use android system otherwise it is really slow your phone down. while windows may have less apps but it doesnt make your phone slow down so much.

Lisa I have the 8x and 16gb is just fine. I still have 9gb free. The space needed for Windows Apps is smaller then Android. Remember the old Amiga 512, programs didn't need much memory at all and it was still an awesome gaming system.
Get the Lumia 1020, hands down! I am buying two 925s for my wife, and college kid, because they are happy with camera quality at that level. For myself, I have been waiting for the 41MP Windows Phone, ever since it came out running Symbian.If I buy it this year, and next year they come out with a 102X with 64 or more GB,then I will hand this one down, and upgrade, then I will be happy, as long as MS continues to keep the OS upgrades coming.Right now,I am being patient using my "Left Behind" 900.
Awesome review as always Lisa. I noticed on this phone you can't send or receive MMS while on WiFi, you have to turn WiFi off then it works... Have you seen this and if so do you know if that's a Nokia glitch, Microsoft glitch or T-MOBILE glitch??
If you prefer a cell phone that doubles as a pocket camera, choose the 1020. If you prefer a slimmer design, the 925. The rest of the specs are similar
Pressing Home button does not always close the app, you need to hit the LEFT arrow all the way til your back at the home screen. Until Microsoft changes this, it will eat up battery when you have apps running in the background.
haha...I like watching these older vids sometimes to see the "then and now" moments. e.g., I just saw some ads where this phone brand new is now under $200 no contract...versus $400'ish when the vid was made. I don't know if I'm more cheap or more logical...but I feel like by staying a year or two behind the times that I've saved a lot of money...cha ching! :-p

Verizon meddles with Makers, they told Nokia to make a Sexier looking 920 phone and waited another 6 months before it got sold as a 925. I had to pick the HTC 8x because the Samsung Oddysey sucked. I'm very happy with my HTC 8x and have no issues playing awesome games like Modern Combat 4, etc. I still have 9 gigs of space left even with a lot of games on the phone compared to the space Android games take up.
How long does it take from pulling the phone out of your pocket until the camera has taken a photo ? On the Galaxy S4 it takes an eternity and makes it pretty much useless for snaps. Half of the entourage has fallen asleep when the S4 has finally taken the image ... snooze ...

Give the OS time, it will catch up. Everyone acts as though Android and iOS fell off the truck yesterday, being wonderful. No, those two went through their growning pains, and all of us acked through that with them. So, they both didn't arrive being wonderful. MS has burned bridges that they need to repair and quick. They need to be buddy, buddy with Google, who is trying to keep them down from being a #3 alternative. I do like where MS is headed though. WP and Nokia needed each other.

I luv nokia but sorry to say that i think one of cheap Chinese mobile is more advace n entertain mobile compare to nokia windows devices...i wish nokia should start to use android instead of boring windows....nice review anyway
they should do what samsung does have one flag ship and it be the same on every single carrier and even this phone be the same on every carrier instead of having 50 different windows phones which are all basically the same but called different names on every carrier they would sell more if they had some of the same phones on each carrier samsung sells a lot of phones and they have the note, s3 and s4
The battery life is terrible. Have to charge in every 4-5 hours with web browsing and emailing. It drains the battery 10% in an hour with screen off idling. Beautiful phone with a huge flaw in usefulness. Unless your and office worm with plugs always at hand, I wouldn't recommend it.

I charge my HTC 8x about every 2 days, with normal use. Gaming or watching movies a little over a day.
How do you download music on it? Is there an app to download music on the Nokia Lumia that's reliable?
