Watched this in 2023, 10 years later. Cannot really wrap my head around the unbelievable leaps we have taken in terms of technology in just 10 years.
Todays phones are improved versions of this kind of phone, it feels more like evolution of this rather than unbelievable leaps. There is no feature in today's phones that would have blown anyone's mind in 2013.

@@SidPil No they're not lmao. This Nokia was 5.13 inches by 2.81 inches with a 4.5 inch screen. Compare that to the 2020 Pixel 5 which is 5.7 inches by 2.77 inches with a 6 inch screen. And the Pixel 5 is considered a small, midrange phone.

ikr man, the windows 10 mobile UI was really decent, with all the UWP giving apps a universal theme across the OS.

Sad that Microsoft didn't have control over the software side earlier in the phone world. I wanted this phone so bad but the lack of apps was a real detriment to the experience.

@@nicklemen practically every phone takes pictures in 12MP. Ignore the amount of megapixels because they don't actually make any sense. It's why some of the best photos are from a pixel or iphone. It all comes down to image processing

I am still a heavy microsoft user because of that, I had the lumia 520 I think for about 4 years. I was young so I didn't care much about most of the things, the internet explorer was enough for me. And so I became a big user of one note and outlook email etc, still to this day. If only the app store took off, it would've been one I'd consider today still

With the Old Nokia, the following are lost forever :
1. that unique simplistic design, no other has it even today.
2. that small yet perfect form factor.
3. that 41 MP camera that has yet not been implemented today in any smartphone after almost half a decade.
4. that look of the UI, that fluidity and those animations.
5. that build quality.
Thinking that Nokia packing all these things in that time really makes me miss these products badly.
It's a shame that company like Apple is dominating the smartphone industry today.
looks isnt everything. the functionally on the lumia phones was terrible at best also microsoft did a bunch of shady things like making it impossible to use things like skype on a 1 year old phone to force people to buy a new phone every year

One of my favorite phones ever. That was an amazing camera phone, took some stunning photos. Had it in a Otterbox Defender case for 2-3 years. Workshops, crossing Africa coast to coast, dropped it so many times and never a problem. Windows OS was acceptable. Upgraded to an Samsung S7 and later Pocophone F1, all devices served exceptionally well as camera phones.
It's 2022 but decided to get this one mainly for its camera
