I picked up this set of 6 watercolor quill brushes. They are taklon and have really fine points! they range from size #6-#14 round. The sizing is more like Western short-handled watercolor brushes and not your typical quill sizing. Since the sizes are kind of close you can split this into 2 sets of 3 in my opinion f you want to share with a friend. Find them here: amzn.to/3udrji1 *affiliate link

Thanks Lindsay 💜 I have the Mimik kolinsky travel set and a no name off Amazon travel set. Both are really good sets of brushes. I have a backup set of the Mimik squirrel and I'm still using my original set from 5cyears ago even though I beat the heck out of them to splay the bristles for grasses and fur. I never leave my brushes in water so the wood and ferrules are still nice and secure. Merry Christmas to you and the family.🎉

I have so many brushes, I don’t intend to buy any new ones. But of course I watched your video!!
I just ordered them. I purchased the travel mimicks yoy recommended but need a bigger brush as the biggest in that set isn’t quite big enough for some work. Thank you for this recommendation.

I bought these a few months ago and I split them up too. Especially that 6 and 7 is almost identical. But the 8 & 10 and the 12 & 14 are so close a match that it’s just not worth it to occupy double the space in your travel compartments when they are this close a match. The synthetic squirrel quill brushes from Biaelk are also great, although I suspect they are far less durable than these travel brushes (I think it’s the same in normal size as travel size but I mean the normal ones, don’t have their synth. squirrel in travel size)

Boo Hoo;(((( Amazon says “ currently unavailable”. I love synthetic quill brushes. Hopefully they’ll be back in stock. I’ve only listened to the first a few minutes of your video. (of course I had deposit to get the brushes right away and then come back)😂.

I avoid real animal hair but I have reviewed synthetic squirrel quills and a synthetic squirrel travel set by mimik.

Do quill brushes have the snap to them they look so firm and I love those points
Usually quills are softer, these are not typical for quills.
