Create a Break Even Analysis Chart
VloĆŸit
- Äas pĆidĂĄn 20. 12. 2014
- This video show how to create a break even graph and how to calculate break even analysis in the worksheet. It not a complex formula because it it based on some provided fixed and variable costs that enable you to calculate the break even unit totals and dollar amounts with the per unit sales price. Once you create the table with the formula you can see the incremental amounts (or time) that are needed to get to break even. Once you've created this graph, it can be used as a template or the final output can be put into a PowerPoint for your presentation.

Learnt fixed reference to cell. I'm wondering if I have total sell and variable cost in terms of amount and not in terms of units sold, how can create the breakeven? Basically I've restaurant business and Items I sell are large in number and have different price for each item.
Seems like another table is needed to aggregate the items to a pivot (czcams.com/video/ZQxgYtl33xY/video.html) so it can be put into the break even table for the chart.
Can this be used to calculate the breakeven percent of overtime vs adding additional headcount?
don't see why not, but you'd need to figure out the how you'd want to put this together.
I can understand this explanation better than what I learn in class. duh. immediately I can undrstand
Thanks Deborah M., glad it helped!
im stuck.....when i select the line chart....im asked place where i want sparklines to be placed....what is it and how do i get past this
Hi Arshadina Najib, thanks for the comment! that is odd, cause sparkline are in cell, not part of the chart object.
I can't get the graph to look like yours. I am doing the exact same thing
+Jaime Venegas Different version of Excel, maybe. I had a similar issue and that was, well, the issue. Good luck.
nice
Thanks
My table doesnt work. it comes up with around 20 different series, not named or anything, and it doesn't let me put any numbers into it.
go to insert, Scatter, and select the photo showing two lines crossing each other
You have to press the cmnd button after selecting the whole unit column, not before.
Hmm nice video and well explained. But why do i get 20 different series i don get it,i even have the excel model as yours with the same year. Can anyone help me?
+Nafisa Alam I had the same at first ..what you do is first click the Unit down arrow then click CRTL and the rest of the columns not CRTL first, only after you have selected the Unit column first..hope it works.
i got it fixed by my husband, thanks for your help though its just that i posted it 3 month s ago LOL
+Nafisa Alam I have the same problem as yours but I have no clue how to fix it, may I ask how do you fix it? thanks
I wish i could help you but i dont know it myself, my husband fixed it in 30 secs and i didt even look at where he was cleaning.
Aha this worked! Thank you so much! :)
