- The Serge Knife Co Trope is the latest limited release made by Real Steel for the Serge Knife Co. Serge is revisting prototypes and customs and giving them limited production runs. The Trope features a N690 blade and titanium handle. In this video I compare it to the Para Military 2, the rager, the Winter Blade Co Severn, and I even talk about the new Leatherman Arc, for some SEO. Anyway this knife drops in a blue version Tuesday Nov 28th at 6pm pacific only at Serge's website.

I got mine a couple of days ago, and not only do I like it, but it has grown on me! It fits my hand perfectly, it has perfect action, it is very beautiful, and now that I have it in hand, I know that it is very ergonomic as well. That hour-glass shape locks it in! I would prefer a more cutting-edge steel, but everything else is perfect. I have mine, and recommend that you get yours!

The Trope I appreciate is AKB’s Serge reviews being consistently some of his funniest, with the weird voices.

Boker Plus Lancer was my first ever knife, and the one that infected me with this disease 😂. Serge definitely has an unmistakable and unique style so I'm glad he's in the business! But alas, his site does not ship to my country, so I can always only watch 😢. (No pun intended 😆.)

I usually look to The Nick for verbitude lessons with my knife reviews but I'm glad AKBro cleared up the definition of trope.

Metallurgically speaking, N690 is just VG-10 that over values itself (its European and costs a lot for the folders its on)
Basically .. slightly different composition , if you were to get very technical.. N690 would only win depending on heat treat
Not quite based on themselves, but both are alloyed with cobalt and usually have the same Rockwell hardness around 58-60.
Not quite the same though, but quite similar due to both of them being upgraded 440C.
For some people they (N690 and VG-10) don't even noticeably outperform 440C.

The only thing people hate worse than being told by someone they’re saying something wrong, is being told no one wants to hear their opinion. About 3 videos ago maybe 4 I was praised for saying it correctly. Depending on where one hails from and the regional dialect they are subject to- sometimes habits are hard to break. Sometimes they waver, sometimes you say shit wrong. I grew up in a part of the country that says Warsh instead of Wash. I’d imagine a guy like you would go hoarse from offering grammar advice to the unwashed masses. Anyway this has been exchange of ideas- it has been fruitful for me.
