- Following the mass shooting on Saturday night, Monterey Park restaurants are hoping the community will come out and support them this weekend. Rachel Kim reports.

I ate at the Mandarin House before. The owner was really cool and they served amazing food.
Wow my mom use to take us in the early 80s, to this place it was once a burger stand,I love this city because of the memories it printed on my heart I had good friends we would go to the cave arcade, the stair waterfall the shops on Atlantic, barnes park carnival seeing kids ridding skate boards,rideing bmx bike who remembers that I love Monterey park I grew up in that city left in 1994 went to ynez and keppel this city is my heart don't let this tragedy get you guys down actually it should make you stronger don't let no one take that from you!!! I love Monterey park soo many hills this is one best place in california! Forgot to mention pronto donuts in the 80s I bumped into my future husband in the donut shop there.

I never knew Monterey Park had Japanese places, I thought it was all Chinese places. I’m going to check that place out.
Monterey Park and Alhambra is diverse with many restaurants serving Mandarin, Cantonese, Chiu Chow, Mexican, Uyghur, Vietnamese, Peruvian....too many types of foods to list here. Definitely check out all the places these cities and the surrounding cities serve. They need our help at this time. I've lived in the 626 for over 40 years and I haven't even tried all the places.

I swear to god. That mandarin dumpling and chinese pancake are good as fuk. Try it with soy sauce. Also the glass noodles.

it's not the shooting.....we've been cutting down A LOT on dining out..... inflation 6-9% right? but majorities of these asian restaurants especially those cafe been jacking up the price to 30 to 40% in the name of inflation..... for example... DFC ... a breakfast combo used to be around 10.99 to 12.99 now is 14 to 16 dollars.... a family of 4 for a freaking breakfast is around $60 to 70 bucks.....
