- Jason Oppenheim is opening up to ‘Extra’s’ Katie Krause about the aftermath of his split with Chrishell Stause and what it was like watching it back during Season 5 of ‘Selling Sunset.’ He also explains where they are today and if they could get back together. The real estate broker reveals why he’s not ready to date at the moment… noting it will be awhile. When asked about the status of the embryos the couple may have frozen, he says he wants to keep that private. Finally, Jason hints Season 6 may not air any time soon! I got extremely emotional when I watched this episode. I was hoping that the two of them could've worked things out. I respect Jason for not telling all the details of such an intimate private experience. I'm hoping somehow the two of you can get back together. You made such a beautiful couple.

It was very heartbreaking watching Jason speaking of his relationship that has slipped through his hands now. You can see he truly still loves Chrishell uneven though it's hard for him to say it. They are both such beautiful souls and I believe they are great soulmates together. The World needs hope so I am going to hold onto Abundances of hope, that they find their way back to each other.
I truly feel Chrishell was so heartbroken I'm not certain she is presently where she should be.I feel she will find that out in a short time. I see so much love there between them so I will keep praying for them.❤
I feel the fear of Jason to commit can be salvaged. I think for the first time he really fell in love deeply and it scared him. I pray his heart will continue to feel the deep love for Chrishell. One can't fight what the heart truly holds. In order to know Real Love in Our Lifetime, One has to Surrender to it. God Bless them both. I'm s Fan of the show.
So very well spoken. I think Chrishell is shell-shocked from an abundance of trauma and hurt between her ex husband/his associates, the past hard attacks from Cristina and Davina, and the scrutiny from the world.
I don't think this relationship is God's design, but she will emerge prayerfully understanding that no man or relationship can replace the love God has for us, and that we are all fallen in nature until we become transformed by renewing our mind in God's will for our lives, which is in His Word. Being conformed to thus worlds ways of living creates confusion, twisting, and enmity against God. We have to be patient, consistent and honest with the people that we love during their processes.
They were great couple, think Jason going to regret it. Shows how much he care for her vise versa. Wish them the best.

I remember him been very moved when carrying Christine’s baby and been so emotional in his dogs birthday party. Funny how he puts all of his love for his dog than a possible heir of his massive fortune and even pass to be with the love of his life. Sad life with lots of money!
Some people just don’t want kids. My partner of 2 1/2 years and I recently broke up because he decided that he 100% never wants to be a dad. We had such a great love and had pets together that he treated like human children but unfortunately when it came to the option of an actual child in a few years he was fully closed off to it. I would say Jason feels the same and was trying to talk himself into it, but realised at the end of the day no matter how great his love for Chrishell was/is he just doesn’t want to be a dad.
@@starollymolly IDK? I believe during the show Jason said more than once he's just not ready right now. He said he didn't believe it was the right time bc he's so busy with the new office and other business. He definitely seems to really like children. I know that doesn't guarantee a person wants their own but I think he's afraid of the time, responsibility and commitment involved. I'm convinced he would be fine not having a child. But I also think he's probably too scared of how it would change his entire life. I think he over thought things and made a lot of assumptions about stuff he couldn't possibly know about in advance 😉....

His vulnerability, honesty, and tenderness is a beautiful thing. I’m sure he found his ex to be a real and kind soul. Not easy to find but they do exist!
At the beginning it showed Jason on a call with his camera on….. That has happened to me ALL THE TIME. I’ll be on a call and my face will start touching stuff and my camera will go on or apps will be open. If anyone has an iPhone, I’m sure it’s happened to them at some point.
The reunion explains a lot but I hope Jason really finds the right women and heals. It’s tough to watch but for to see someone who’s experienced it from a family members pov he did the right thing and hopefully Brett is supporting him as well
I love Jason he is so clear on everything. I think the situation with Chrishell was she wanted to find her own family hence her previous marriage didn’t work out and she was so broken hearted by it. Then she met Jason and entered a relationship with him hoping that She could settle down with Jason and have a family. I think Jason was scared to have that extra responsibility and he was scared of the unknown. From Chrishell’s side she was ready to start a family and she was inpatient with Jason in this respect. You can’t hurry up the other one in this life changing situation. She should have been a bit more patient with him and use the time to truly warm up to each other because 1.5 being in a new relationship is not much and the love is just blossoming at that time. I think Chrishell was never truly healed from the heartache from her previous marriage when she entered into a new relationship with Jason. Sometimes stepping back a bit it’s a good thing to see more clearly but none of them did that. Jason was adamant of saying no to the child in that moment of time and Chrishell expected Jason to be in the same page as her. 1-2 years of waiting to start a family is ok even when someone is around 40.
Good point. But there is biological age involved and women hurry based on that for good reason. She met him knowing he was not the kind of person who was looking to have kids so she could have used that filter from the beginning, but obviously he is very successful and who wouldn't be attracted to this? just stating what it looked like.

I love Chrishell. Seeing her in this situation is heartbreaking, not so much of Jason because if he really likes it he can get much younger and prettier girls. I wish she will move on and not contemplate of what he’s saying that he still cares for her or loves her.

I find this situation very sad and frustrating. I'm sure if they had experienced an unplanned pregnancy, Jason would have been very excited once he had some time to digest the situation. I believe everything would have been perfect in the end. I really think they would both be wonderful, loving parents.
Perhaps he thought about everything too much and made assumptions about how things would change. Obviously, no one has a crystal ball so it's honestly all a guess in the end He can't really consider how much the love for his child will change his life. IDK, I just think It's something you can't understand in advance. For many people a child can be the most important thing they never realized they were missing. I really hope they find their way back to each other. They obviously still love each other very much...
Go get your baby Jason. Stop playing with a dog and become a real dad. You are full of love and you have to let it flourish. Love like that doesn't come around all the time.

I can definitely see why he's overthinking it but after having my first baby it's not so hard, the love for the child and a supportive partner trumps most if not all of the challenges one might encounter.
Edit: after watching the reunion, he said the "situation was perfect" and they were in love and all so we're all left wondering why the fear to commit and why he strongly feels like it can't be fixed. A bit selfish for me, they're both of the right age, all his closest people told him she was right for him, and he knew her stance on kids from the get go. Oh well, I guess relationships are complicated but sometimes that a choice.
If he is not 100% sure having a child is something he really wants in life, i wouldn’t call it selfish. That is the most responsible thing you will ever do. And this is coming from a new mom who took decades to decide on having a baby myself.

For Jason, my personal opinion is that he shouldn't have entertained the relationship to the level it got if he wasn't sure. It's one of those things you know about yourself upfront so you can date smartly by being on the same page with the other person. She's so broken and probably questioning herself when she did nothing wrong. No one is truly ready or prepared to have a kid 100% because the experience can't be easily anticipated, but with the right partner you decide to go for it and give it your best effort.
I thought, they are perfect together, She seems such a lovely girl who love him deeply, Why men off the road when the woman committed to them? Specially if the woman who first start talking about a family together, this woman should adore and loved more because she's loyal and want stay the person she in love with. Please! Jason think again before you regret, having a child is the most amazing thing in this world, you might be a great daddy once you see that a little person. They made the show so much better because you could see a side of him where he really cared about someone's hopes and dreams. They had completely different backgrounds but seemed like genuinely good people. I just can't understand how having children could scare him that much, I think he will see it was a mistake letting her go. And the fact that she got involved with a woman right afterwards, sorry it seems very fake for publicity because all the dumb dumbs eat it all up thinking that is so wonderful.

It seems like she was in too much pain and denial.. which causes ppl to act out at times.. i wish he would come around to wanting children.. i never wanted any either but when i had my daughter my whole life and perspective changed.. @@ashflo It's an ok excuse to me. Some people see what life is like to have kids and they don't want that. For someone like him who is basically already married and committed to his job, it's hard to have a whole different life commitment added to that, including the relationship with a wife/gf. Having kids is a looot of work! And plus I think it's way better for him to dig deep and figure out why he's struggling first before having a child with anyone. Maybe some therapy or something. Idk.

I had a child 39 years ago. And now, my daughter is estranged from me. So having children isn’t all fun & games & terribly hardwork & sometimes for nothing. Jason & Chrishell had a beautiful love & children aren’t everything. Children leave us & make their own way in life, but our love for a partner is forever. I hope Jason & Christell get together again & move on together.

It's clear, Jason is pure selfish, period... you can see he loves her, but, he loves himself more, too bad he cannot live a selfless life.
There were times Jason was kissing Chrisshell and she pulled away like she had enough, rewatch you will see what I mean very subtle. There were other times she is posing when kissing Jason, it's really staged, good acting mostly on her part. Jason is self-centered who really thinks he is a big time eligible bachelor and Chrisshell is an opportunist, I do not dislike them both but they are regular show people and little bit on the fake side, hence Jason making the fake phone call. The only thing for sure they both really really love is money. Hey to each their own, I watch the show because of the clothes/fashion but do not for a minute believe all the drama, it's really show time at the Oppenheim.
