  • Our Anthony Allen Ramos chats with musician G FLIP about their new album "Drummer" which is available now.
"I've been playing drums since I was nine years old. So, I wanted to make a pop record that came from the drums up," they said.
This is a theme that will show up during their first ever headlining tour which begins September 18 in Australia.
"There's a lot of drumming some drum solos (at the shows) You know, a lot of the drum parts I wrote in the album I wrote for live. There's a cool, like drum solo in the, in the the first song on the album called Seven Days, which is really fun for me to play. But yeah, lots of drums, a lot of big singing. A lot of just like running around high and it's a very high energy show," the pop-rock musician previewed.
Recently G FLIP and partner and reality star Chrishell Stause went to see Taylor Swift, and they say that they didn't take any notes for their show, but rather just enjoyed the show.
"I was honestly just like, so amazed by the whole production of the Taylor Swift concert. Like, I, you know, normally I would be like, taking notes and like, thinking about my show, but I was just so like in awe of Taylor and the whole spectacle of that show that I was just like, wow, this is like, so phenomenal and it's honestly like one of the, one of the best shows I might have ever seen," they said.
At the end of Season 6 of Stauss's reality series "Selling Sunset," audiences got to see G FLIP in scenes with her, so will we be seeing more of G FLIP in Season 7?
"Well, they've already filmed season six and seven back to back,...but we did film some scenes so I might be there, I might not, but we did just a couple of scenes," they said.
G FLIP's album "Drummer" is available now and tickets are on sale for their tour now.
