3 Tips to clean your hard surfaces floors like a pro! | Day 24/30 of my Spring Cleaning Spree

- It’s day 24/30 of the spring Cleaning Spree! We are going to be cleaning our hard surface flooring today. When I say hard surface flooring I am referring to; LVP, tile, concrete, hardwood and natural stone. When it comes to all of these flooring types my first recommendation is to alway use a PH neutral floor cleaner. Today, I will be using the Ecolab No Rinse Neutral Floor Cleaner mixed into a spray bottle. I really like this cleaner because it not only cleans well, but does not leave any film or stickiness. (I also like Zep’s Nuetral PH Floor Cleaner, but just know, it cannot be used on hardwood floors.) After choosing the right cleaner, the next step is to sweep/vacuum/dust mop the loose dirt off the floor. This will save yourself from creating a muddy mess once that dry dirt mixes with your wet cleaner. Next, your tools you’ll be needing. Now, I really like a flat mop with multiple microfiber cloth heads. It makes it easy to change from a dirty head to a clean one, which is very important as to not end up spreading dirt around your home. (If you use a spin mop or traditional style, make sure to rinse in clean water frequently.) Another reason I like a flat mop paired with a spray bottle is that it’s easy to carry from one room to another. My favorite part of washing the floors is how fresh my home smells afterwards. How about you?

I don't really get why people are trying to kinda bash you in the comments about this being a spring cleaning spree versus an all year round spree. My autistic ADHD brain for one is super happy you made this, so thank you so much! I'm watching all of them right now just to see what to expect (probably the autistic part of my brain) and I'm loving it. This is helping me to learn about the details and ways to do it differently or maybe even better than usual. So again thank you so much, I hope you read this and know how helpful you are to a lot of people!
We all fall behind sometimes with cleaning and this series is a great reset for those times! Also, it is great for the things people forget to clean- even for the most tidiest ppl, when’s the last time they deep cleaned their dryer vents inside out lol
Great idea 💡 to put the floor cleaner in a spray bottle. Thanks! 🙌🏼🌟
You got it! 🙂
Do you have a list of products or tools you use? It’s nice watching the videos but without knowing what you use, it does me no good.
I’d love to know what mops etc you use too! It literally hurts my brain to try and figure out what is good and won’t break. I’d love to use something that’s tested from hours of use!
@@fixorbricksbona mop without the spray dispenser attached works great. I use mine every single day and have had it for years.
@@Harlow_Khmer Nice! I got decision fatigue looking haha, so I ended up going with the Mr. Siga mop that came with two microfiber cloths that I wash clean, and then using the no rinse product that @CleanThatUp recommended and it's working great. My floors look nice! I need to get on your level and do it every day!
Im a housekeeper. Thank you for teaching me better, effective methods. I appreciate your videos. ❤
I learned a different method from my previous job at the store. Have a bucket with warm water, then add your preferred floor cleaner. Then with a plastic cup filled with your water and cleaner mix splash it on the floor but not too much. When you see your mop head get dirty, you switch it to a clean one. I’d use up to 4 mop heads for my store. The dirty ones are then just being washed. No dirty water and no mess. I’d also usually start with sweeping the floor down as we didn’t have a vacuum there
Great job! Timely motivation and strategy. ❤😂🎉😊
The transition from the end to beginning. Flawless 🎉
Thanks!
Thank you for naming to switch out of clean the mop head. There’s so many clean influencers who don’t or don’t mention that which is sooo big to make sure things get cleaned
I mean, it's common sense.
How often do you rinse with the flat mop?
awesome tips! love your energy
I just want to say, i have adhd, but your shorts are motivating me to clean little by little. Coz that's all we adhd'ers can do. Awesome. Thank you. Before you, i was just clueless & nothing. I'm sure you all know what that looks like vs a little progress, better than nothing.
I have space to dance!!! Get it on, yo!!!
Hey Brandon, thanks for the useful tips. How many passes of wet mopping would u recommend for each section?
What was the name of the cleaner u used..
Wow, i didnt have any inspiration to clean my living room floor...but now😂😅 Just what i needed. Thank you
Her joy is EVERYTHING!! I know that trip was super special for her.

Stop wearing shoes in your home. That will keep your floors clean

Any tips on how to keep them cleaner longer with toddlers😅
Don't let them eat or drink anything and don't take them outside 🤣🤣🤣🤣 (jk obviously)
What do you suggest for hardwood floors and what do you think about dry wet vacuum
Does that spray disinfect the floors?
What was the cleaner
I have a hack if carpets corners aren't going down.
Step 1: Fill a glass with ice
Step 2: dump the ice on the corners
Step 3: put the glass behind the ice
Step 4: let the ice melt
Step 5: once the ice is done melting, take the glass off and let it air dry
Can you send me a link to buy the material for cleaning the floor, I can't find it
Any tips on cleaning LVP when you have hard water?! I’ve been trying so many different methods & it’s still leaving it streaky & just gross looking. We have a high TDS (salt) level in our normal water also (which hopefully they will be able to fix soon). We have a RO in kitchen so I try to use that water but it’s cold & I’ve always heard to use “warm/hot” when mopping. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you.
It’s not the water. You need to get a stiff bristle brush you can hold in hand and scrub in the grooves of the LVP. Use a cleaner or soapy water and scrub good even when it looks like it’s gone, it’s not cause it’s just wet and shiny, keep scrubbing until you really know you hit it good and bet it will be gone.
What vacuum are you using ?I want to get me one of does
What is considered a neutal cleaner? What brand? How do you know if it's neutral?
I think zep makes one it will say on the bottle if it is neutral
Odoban PH Neurtral floor cleaner is great as is Zep Ph Neutral Floor Cleaner. Odoban is also a deodorizer. Double benefit.
Lavar el utensilio que utilizo para limpiar el suelo en la cocina, cuanto menos,me resulta muy sucio...
Which mop are you using, please?
You really need to get a gallon sized weed sprayer with a wand. Put that pH neutral cleaner in.. no more bending over and better reach and accuracy.
Does the cleaner make the floor slippery?
🌟🌟🌟
What model vacuum is that?
Do you prefer this or the Zep Neutral pH floor cleaner?
Why does the mop water never get clean I feel like I’m just wiping the dirt back on the floor and it seems like even after going over the floors multiple times the water can still have a brown tiny to it ?
Do you recommend this for hard wood floors?
No he states in the description not to use it for hard wood but he's used it on hard wood so I'm confused
Which is the mop used
What kind of cleaner did you use? The video was too fast
ممتاز
All the people with OCD watch this
Wash your walls and baseboards before doing the floors
What is the name of the vacuum please & thank you 😊
Hoover Emerge Pet +
It’s a wet dry vacuum mop?
neutral ph is just water 😭
What will it do if u don't sweep the floor first?
Then you'll have a bunch of wet dust everywhere lol
What vacuum is that?
Hoover Emerge Pet +
Day 24? Wait...what??
So no vinegar 😢?
Vinegar is good for some but not all floors
You said vac, sweep or dust mop? 😂😢 I have to do all three daily if not every other day to clean my floors because of my dog!
Oh no! Our late pup was very hairy so I totally get that.
I'm looking for a husband with these skills, I have some of my own. 😉☄️
1 hr to clean hard surface floors. Takes longer than cleaning out air conditioner vent with a leaf blower.... I find that hard to beleive 😂
I hate flat mop. It just pushes the dirt aside
if you use a flat mop and swipe in a S motion toward you , youll never leave dirt behind.
Spin mops or traditional mops and buckets work great too!
My "flat mop" has never pushed dirt aside..
What is a common neutral PH floor cleaner I can find at the store?
I found the brand he used in the video at Home Depot.
@@kiawilliams5541 okay bet!
@@watahbottles I am online ordering now. Plus, some other products he uses😂 Happy cleaning..take care!👋🏾

So this is your spring cleaning spree ? I do this all year round!
Floors are definitely cleaned all year round along with spring cleaning!
@@CleanThatUp BOOM 💥
Haha yoooo, it seems super unlikely that very many people in the world are “one upping” this guy’s cleaning game-it’s not a competition! It makes me sad that people have started twisting everything into being competitive these days-even politics🤦🏻♀️
This is supposed to be fun and helpful if you haven’t watched his other videos!
He’s doing this to help those of us (ie me, who has quite the case of adhd) who are *unlikely* to remember to do all of the things he’s shown us how to do in detail over a thirty day period-and most importantly, he makes each of the 30 tasks (all important and needed for a healthy home!) extremely doable/manageable for even the most novice of cleaners.
I can’t express in words how much I appreciate this series, along with the positive attitude that only encourages me to also take action!
Did you wash the mop in the kitchen sink??? 🤮 that’s a kitchen where you prepare food you eat… why not use the bathroom tub or laundry sink if you have one?
You are gross if you don't clean your sink.. It's not like he's a rinse the mop and then prepare food in the sink right after, without cleaning it. 🙄🤦🏽♀️
Wait…. You only clean your hard floors during your spring cleaning? Mine get done every week or multiple times a week🙄 I couldn’t even imagine months of not cleaning them with a dog and children!🙈
Oh no definitely not, they are cleaned regularly. I do move most of my furniture and rugs and clean underneath them for spring cleaning though.
Please tell me you didn't wash that filthy mophead in the kitchen sink!!
What kinda vacuum
Cleaner do you use? Thank you
