How Expensive Is Scuba Diving? | The Numbers From All Over The Globe

- The single most asked question in any dive shop is: How much does scuba diving cost? There is no simple clear cut answer to this because prices vary all over the world. Therefore I will give you a ball park number to what I think is a reasonable price to get you in the water.
There are a few things you'll need to get started. First of all you will need some dive training. An Open Water Course is the way to start here but the best is to seek some additional training on top of that. Next up you will have a choice, you either rent equipment of buy it yourself.

First things i tell my students to get is their own mask and their own computer. they are going on holiday and they ask what to bring. Like a bc, fins, reg, torch, etc, can all be rented (if not already included) from the dive shop they are doing their dive holiday with. But the computer you need to know inside and out so i dont recommend to them to rent that. And the mask when you have your own it makes the world of difference 🙂

Its what you willing to get out of the sport if you jump in the water twice a year its not a that much. If your nuts like me I went all in took about 6 years of looking and training to put it together. I really enjoy this channel.

Chapeau! Thats pretty accurate. Got my gear for about 2.5k€ even with a made to measure drysuit + mtm undergarment. Bcd reg and computer + some accessories (e.g. dsmb) would be about 1.5k in my case. But ive got a mask and fins. Although maybe i need new ones.. big drysuit boots :(

@@50ftBelow you would think so. I got mone from seaskin and theyre super affordable. Ive even got all the fancy accessories like silicone neck and wrist seals and a matching dryglove system 😃. The suit is 499£ base price mtm and you can pick everything you want and can pick the placement etc. Imo even better than the santis, duis, ursuits just because of that. Maybe not as tough but i dont need an entire suit made of kevlar and the fabric is plenty tough. I couldnt get through it with sharp and pointy kitchen knives and even a serrated bread knife 😅
