  • In the second episode of Like Art, Creators spends the day with Daniel Arnold, a photographer who has gained rapid success on social media for his spontaneous, candid portraits of every day city life. Exploring New York and its iconic locations via subway and on foot, Daniel has developed a unique perspective, capturing unsuspecting subjects photographed in a fleeting moment that reveals their awkward, authentic, and beautiful humanity. In the heart of Times Square, Daniel sets out to teach host Oz Woloshyn how to find the uncommon shot with a disposable camera, and shares his philosophy on life and art.

      Deels geeft het kansen, maar aan de andere kant leven we nu ook in tijden dat iedereen creëren wilt, zonder eigenlijk iets te vertellen hebben, en dus er veel meer mensen al hun 'kunst' delen. Daarnaast is het allemaal erg vluchtig geworden. Van foto's , film tot muziek is het allemaal zoveel dat aangeboden wordt, en mensen willen up to date blijven en dus blijft niets echt 'sticken'..bijna alles is vluchtig en fastfood achtig geworden. Tja..have a nice day though ;)

      @ashleyharrison4376 Před 6 lety +7

      Matt Dug Red I know exactly what he is trying to say... And he gets one interesting shot here n there. The rest are just random snaps. It's great he can make a career of walking around just firing his camera in people's faces. But he is definitely no Bruce Gilden.

    • @m9shamalan
      @m9shamalan Před 6 lety +4

      yeah, well apparently he can. which might make his work worthy of greater consideration than your casual dismissal of 'hipster art logic'.

    • @Dplaysitcool
      @Dplaysitcool Před 6 lety +2

      Matt Dug Red well like any art. It is all subjective I guess. There is no right or wrong. I find genuine human moments interesting. But I don't get that from a photo of a man, mid blink, smoking a cigarette walking down the street. There's nothing there but a mistimed photo of nothing interesting at all.

    The key to street photography is wide angle lens. Without it, your photos will look like shit. Because wide angle doesn’t really require effort to compose. You want to be a good photographer? Use standard lens (50mm) and nothing else.

    • @matthewrabbit
      @matthewrabbit Před 6 lety +11

      If anything, wide-angle lenses are more difficult to compose with because there's a lot more happening in the frame. With a 50mm lens, you don't have as much going on around the edges. It's easier to fit everything in and still have a photograph that works. With wide-angles, it's the complete opposite.

    • @songsujan
      @songsujan Před 4 lety +4

      In my opinion, he's famous because only he do that kind of thing. Sure a lot of people can just shoot people randomly like that, but not all have the courage to do it the way he do. You can't easily find photos in the same perspective as his, that's what makes his style unique.
