I have also discovered it is best to wash the dye out with shampoo rather than just rinsing it out with water. I rinsed it thoroughly in lukewarm water only, and 8 hours later my scalp became irritated. Shampooing would also help stop the colour developing any further.
Also there is MEA in this dye, (12th ingredient). My scalp was sensitive to it before. I'm not allergic, maybe just from overuse. But there are studies that show that the combination of peroxide and MEA can cause hair loss!!
