California should just fall into the Pacific Ocean. And yes, I live in California. The Central Valley to be specific. But I go to the Bay Area every weekend because my whole family and all my in-laws are up there. I was the first to leave the East Bay, and now everyone is following. Every single one of them makes well over 6 figures. From bio research, engineering, medical practices, to the hospitality industry, they’re all doing well for themselves. But for the amount of headaches you get sitting in traffic, standing in long ass lines at SEVEN ELEVEN, paying a damn fee for every little thing everywhere you go, the money it costs to live in the Bay Area just ain’t worth it. It may be a nice place to live, but dollar for dollar it isn’t worth it. I’d rather make my money and live like a king elsewhere and go into the bay when I feel like it just to play. But live there? Hell nah, never again.

Frisco is only one of the community but looking at this video it doesn't represent Taxes as a whole.
Believe me! I went to Taxes for summer vacation and the houses over there is worth your money. Depending on the area, school and job.
The house have hudge closets space , big room for all your need, washer and dryer, big open concept kitchen, big yard space for the kids to play in the afternoon and two car garage.
You can't asked for anything else! You're getting your money worth! Depending on your budget.
Weather it's newly built from bottom up, move in ready or rent.
New construction every day of the week but the only thing is you have to know how to drive.
    Compare to N.Y.C ! Not a chance.
You're working pay check to pay check, cost of living is through the roof and isn't getting any better.
And the price the want for a house ! I rather move to Taxes.
These little cardboard box and so much money. Nuh
You're not seeing were your money is going! Bills and more bills, rent, mortgage, car insurance and more.

Compared to the rest of the country the Collin/Denton county area is still relatively affordable. These houses are super nice and have great upgrades. I was surprised you could get such a nice quality build in the 300K range still. I live in Melissa and we paid more than that a few years ago in our little country town. I think prices have leveled off since a few years back.

    • @xNamsu

@Lawrence L. Well.. to make a long story short - I've lived in Los Angeles, Seattle, Phoenix, Dallas, Dubai, and Chicago with the majority of the time being spent in Los Angeles. With that being said, I definitely prefer Seattle to Dallas, or more specifically Frisco.
Frisco is a very nice safe place, the median household income here is above six figures, the people that live here are relatively nice and its definitely a blue county. It's very affordable if you're used to west coast prices. The only problem is that there is very little to do if your hobbies don't involve going to the mall/watching movies/eating out. Thats the major reason I want to move out of here and go back to either Seattle or Los Angeles. I don't mind paying extra for my cost of living, my field/company will adjust my salary accordingly, I just want something to do on the weekends, something to look at besides miles of flat boring land with nothing but residential neighborhoods and gas stations. Thats my opinion anyway.
Also note that although Texas is red, all of the major cities are very blue.

Keep in mind this is new construction on the first house in California would easily cost about 1.8 million and if you're closer to the city in Los Angeles it could easily double

What’s missing here for reference is that property tax in Frisco is ~2.2% of the assessed value. So that nice 1 million dollar house will get you a $22K tax bill every year...

in my country you have to pay 15% in cash as down payment and the rest can be payed by a loan from the bank (about 3% interest rate)
