    I made this a few months ago but added cupuacu butter along with the shea. I also added hemp seed oil, colloidal oats, sage linalool, and blue cypress essential oils. It worked fantastic! My daughter suffers from painful eczema. 3 months later, thankfully it's all cleared up and she hasn't had any flair ups. She uses it at night after her shower. Goes on feeling greasy but dries into the skin immediately with no greasy mess left.

    I am sooo thankful to you for this recipe. I made this body butter this morning and it turned out perfect, so fluffy and light. First I thought it will fail because I had only unrefined Sheabutter, which still felt smooth in the test you specified. And I had only a common digital kitchen scale, couldn't weigh micrograms as specified in the recipe. When I started to whip the Sheabutter smooth, I realized it to be a very small quantity, so I doubled all the ingredients. Now I have to show it off to my friends.

    Nice video. The only drawback with refined shea butter is that it removes its "natural" healing properties. This is just good as a moisturizer and easy to make.

    I appreciate your videos and detailed explanation.
    1. I made my first whipped shea butter following the steps you provided in another video (using heat). Since the result was creamy BUT somewhat greasy I discovered in this video that when using isopropyl myristate the result is not greasy. Can I add the isopropyl myristate to a finished whipped shea butter in order to remove the greasy feel?
    2. Since I am in Cancun, Mexico I am unable to find isopropyl myristate. Can I use isopropyl alcohol instead?

    Hi there I really enjoy your videos thank you for sharing all your formulations and your smile is beautiful I was going to buy isopropyl myristate but I noticed that the number one downfall of that product is that it clogs pores and is not good for acne-prone people is there a substitute I can use

    • @HumblebeeAndMe
      @HumblebeeAndMe  Před rokem +1

      Hi!
      1. Substitutions are always listed in the free partner blog post :)
      2. The idea of "comedogenic" or not really is nowhere near as simple as religiously avoiding every ingredient that gets a "bad" rating on a comeodogenicity rating chart. Comedogenic ratings really aren't all that helpful when determining if a product (rather than a pure ingredient) will clog human pores. Lab Muffin made a great video about it titled "Why Comedogenicity Ratings Are Kinda BS " ( czcams.com/video/-wz__FPq5kE/video.html ). The title really says it all, but the general gist is: your skin isn't made of rabbit ears + the overall formulation really matter. Happy making!
