  • Finally back on it!! Got the wiring harness for the DIY Overland Trailer built up and run through it's first test! Issues emerge, but lessons learned! Grounding a trailer through the plug is not enough. It needs to be grounded to it's own frame AND the vehicle connection point.
Between this video and the last one I posted I have reached 500 subscribers. This is a big milestone for me, and I really appreciate everyone who's been watching and subscribing. It's super exciting!
This trailer build is "coming to a close". Still have a lot of work to do. I was watching a video by ‪@MorganClarkeDesign1‬ where he said "The first 80% takes 20% of the time and the last 20% takes 80% of the time". Morgan Clarke is a pretty inspirational fabricator. And while I'm not dedicating 8 hours a day to this trailer, what he said rings true. There's tons of "small" details that seem very insignificant but take up huge amounts of time. I spend a lot of my time reading how to do things and staring at my trailer trying to figure out what to do or HOW to do it.
It doesn't look like much, but this has been a massive learning curve for me and it's also been a ton of fun! by far the biggest project I've ever taken on, and I'm hoping the projects only get bigger from here on out!
It is my plan for the next video to be the "last" video of this series, and with that, it may be a bit longer before another video gets posted. Thank you for watching! and if you just read all that non-sense, thanks for that too!
