Moose Rutting Season

This compilation was a complete surprise and I haven't captured anything like it since. The moose rut was in full swing in early October and this camera captured a rather persistent bull moose attempting, repeatedly, to mate with this cow. This behaviour continued for the better part of 20 minutes before they moved on.

Oh he was very determined! He's also a pretty big bull, especially for this area, so I am thinking he was able to mate at some point.
