Thank you Lyssa, for answering my question! It showed me that I am already doing many things right in my coaching practice.
    Looking forward to more videos!

Lyssa your videos are so informative. I have learned so much from you. Do you have any videos or tips for coaches making videos and how you follow your talking points? You do such an amazing job. Thanks for your work.

Hi @Chris Alessi. That is a great question. I do not... yet! But I could create a few; I am certainly learning a lot as I go on how to keep myself on track. :) Thank you for that great suggestion.

Lyssa.. I absolutely love your content and work, thank you! This particular topic I’m finding difficult to feel comfortable making the decision on to forge forward with the coaching with the angry client versus ok, it’s time to have an honest conversation. When it’s quite obvious of course, I get that. But I’m guessing it’s not always going to be obvious? So I’m wondering if some rules of thumb or signs might be useful.? Thank you again! I really appreciate it

LOL, the first rule of thumb is to ask... Some people will be angry in a big obvious way, while others will shut down and stop talking. If you know your client, then when you notice a shift in the emotional energy, ask what is going on. I wouldn't ask if they were angry, but rather, share, "I am noticing a shift of energy, what just showed up?" Then let them tell me. I had a client once make an very extreme face while we were working and my instant response was she was angry, when I asked about the face, "That was a face, what just happened?" she responded, "That's the face I make when my mind gets blown..." So, an assumption on my part would have derailed the conversation. :)

Ah, true! Just ask. Sometimes the simplest thing is true. Thank you so much for your reply.
Your videos and content have been extremely helpful and inspiring. I’m a former teacher and I really relate to how well you teach coaching and your organisation and delivery skills too. It makes such a difference! Thanks so much again :)

@@38Flowers Yay, I taught courses for the Military for years, then for a local university, then for several coaching schools. :) I am glad that my delivery is helpful. It's hard sometimes because I don't use a script, so sometimes I go off-topic as my mind makes connections. It's good to hear it's not causing any extra confusion. :)

Hi Lyssa, thank you so much. I loved your video. Could you please share the link to the "locus of control" video you mentioned? Many thanks, Amalia

Hi Amalia, I am glad you liked the video, I just added a link to the video on Locus of Control in this video's notes. :) Thanks for asking. Sorry, I didn't think to do that initially.
