We all age - it is the normal process of living. But rather than being apprehensive about our aging bodies, let’s celebrate our growing perspective. Rather than worrying about our changing relationships, let’s embrace the opportunity to make new friends with people who share our interests. We must never lose the desire to do the things we truly love, because it is the saying 'no' to life that ages us. It's not about ageing. It's about living.

the body dies, not only ages, the soul we don’t really know if it’s eternal or died with your body, before you was born, your body and soul doesn’t exist, depends where my soul will be resting“eternally” I may want to be there or maybe not, don’t asume something no one knows for sure .

My Mom said the same thing when I asked her how it feels to be 90 yrs old she said : 'I feel the same inside as I always did"
She lived to 100 years.
I was grateful and honored to take care of her in her final years.
What a special message - and how blessed to have been able to spend the final chapter together with your mother, by her side, providing care. Precious time together.

Thank you! When I retired "early" at 62 years I decided to change my life. I had finally graduated and could start anew. I took up solo travel in the midst of a pandemic. I saw places I thought I would never see. I came back home and recalibrated my life here. I bought a van and I travel across N America.
I do yoga and tai chi everyday, I get my health care in unconventional ways. I study philosophy, I do volunteer work and I am teaching myself to love me.
What a blessing it is to come across videos like this. Thank you!

How do you get health care? I’m on Medicare and still can’t afford care and medicine Rices we going up

What timing this video is! I just resigned from a job that was so damaging my mental health. I did so on my 58th birthday and I feel so free! It’s a new chapter in my life, I’m a little nervous but very excited! This woman inspires me!! Thank you!!!

I am 2 years short of 80 and feel like this - no age at all. I do regular fitness classes and workouts, horse ride and generally do what I might do at any age in the past - probably not as strong as I was when 18, but don't feel much different. Even if I had some physical problems, it would not make me feel "old".There is something inside that has no age, we are that.

I’m so happy to hear you still ride horses. I’m going to be 60 yrs old and I’m raising another yearling. Hoping to be riding him when 62yrs old. I struggled with getting another young horse at my age. But thought what the heck it’s what I love do I stop doing what I love because of some aches and pains. Do I live the rest of my life in fear? Hell NO!

I am 3 years from 70 - I like to call years "Levels" So to say, "I'm at Level 67" Sounds like I'm killing it on the video game of life. Now to be bumped back down to Level 33, no thanks ~ except for the same reasons she is honest about what she envies about the younger Levels, the smooth skin, plumped and full of collagen - the voluptuous hair - and the potential and the enthusiasm of that potential. I LOVE this woman.

What a delightful woman, I suffered a stroke at 49 yrs which has left me with weakness down my left side, and memory problems. It completely changed my attitude to life, I spent some time worrying about it happening again and maybe not surviving it, I realised I didn’t want to spend my days worrying so I’ve chosen to enjoy life to the best I can, I get up in the morning fill my day with as much as I can, then if I should wake up the next day God has given me another day to enjoy…
It's a bad habit that most of us have...taking life for granted. Sometimes it takes an important health challenge to nudge us and help us to change that. Sending best wishes and a big hug.

I wish we didn't have to spend our younger years being engrossed in finding our basic necessities only to realise FREEDOM at a certain age. I wish could do both and enjoy the fullness of being free for way longer
Interesting thought but without trying out and searching we don't know really know what's necessary, what gives us freedom. And we need to live and appreciate every minute, every day. I really feel like on some level at 22 I understand this feeling watching this video but yet the questions stands of is my generation just more aware of the previous generation at a younger age

@Me + You = US From a very young age, I knew that slaving for an income, working 5 days a week, wasn't healthy, and that if I should do this, I would whither away, succumbing to a duty too heavy on my shoulders. I guess the intensity of my artist's soul in feeling, and sensing made me incapable of such a task.
It was clear also, that my life wouldn't unfold in a traditional way. No marriage, no kids, no settled career for 45 years, not much repetition of the same old.. same old... like joining the rat race. I've made sure to only work for 3 days a week, earning my income, and dedicate my other days to creative work, gardening, art, hiking in nature, studying subjects like health, food, spiritual science, my life evolving "as within so without", and from the wisdom of indigenous tribes also.
The only way I feel different as I age is in the growth I am always going through (and my body hurting more and more 🤣). But the older I get, the more I love myself, the more confident I am, the more at peace I feel, and the less I care about things that just don't really matter. I feel more free with each year I am alive, and every birthday, I feel so grateful to have been alive for yet another year. Each year is such a gift. 💚

Thanks Jenny for sharing...I am 63yrs i retired in the height of the Pandemic, i lost most of who i was and regained a wee bit of my joy of living etc. I left parts of me behind while i joined the world and carried on with life. This morning i made a decision to find my joy again and now I am viewing your video....i loved nature, loved crafting, shopping and more, most fell by the wayside and i do not feel myself, but i am determined to be alive for as long as i live, after i watched you video i took out my embroidery hoop and decided to do something i love doing this afternoon. Not physically of course, haha! But Jenny pointed everything that is going on with my life at the moment, what I'm thinking and feeling, and reminded me of my dreams I almost forgot to realize. Be like her in that you think grateful for all those tiny things, you could be surprised how some things in your life might change and bring you Joy. The body does betray us.
Health is the most Important. Fibro 25 yrs now and ME/CFS over 30 yrs, social life Zero....millions of young ppl who have no life cause being bedbound so many suicides....it's a Grace to be old and able to live a life worth l7vinh
I am clinically depressed too and fear of aging makes it so much worse than when I was younger. My heart and love go out to you.
Try osteopathy and natural medicine. I have problems with my hip due to muscle contraction in my belly. When its treated the pain diasspears

This chimes so much with me. I retired almost 4 years ago with the intension of painting more. But I do remember just a few days after I left my job, standing in my kitchen window watching the birds feeding in my garden and thinking, 'If I wanted to, I could do this all day!' I burst out laughing at the feeling of the freedom I now had🙏

Intention
It sucks that most people have to wait that long to feel just that
Interesting that she said one shouldn’t look forward to retirement yet pretty much also says that then you are free. I don’t want to fast forward my life in general, however, my job makes it difficult to relax and live in the moment so yes I do look forward to retirement. Everyone I know who are retired are so happy. Like a great weight has been lifted off of them.
My Mum passed on when she was 95. She was always grateful for her Health & everything. I had the privilege of caring for her in her latter years. She thought me Integrity, empathy & gratitude. A great Mum & that generation were so wise & worked hard for everything. I was lucky to have her & still miss her dearly ❤

First of all let me tell you.... That kitchen of hers is so marvelous. I've been trying to give mine that kind of look forever. It reminds me of my grandmother Growing up. She had so much energy. She always had food cooked and fresh cookies and cakes on the table or inside the cabinets. I want to be like this woman. There is a certain magic in beginning work that requires physical exercise, for it brings one's whole body to life, and begins to build a reservoir of energy, health.
Especially at this age, I'm noticing the benefit of moving, also gymnastics, dance.
I remember turning 70 and I couldn't believe it almost. I'm now 71, and still doing volunteer work in gardens, food production, sowing and planting, creating a self-pick garden in a garden centre near my home in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
Yeah! Time to bring our Legacy into form. Produce.Move our dreams into physical reality.

I thought Jenny was in her 70s, and very lively. I couldn’t believe (it when she didn’t say) her age! I so get not behaving your age. i am surrounded by older people who only talk about their age, their problems etc. I choose to step away because that talk causes disharmony in our lives. My friend who is an artist lived until 91 and up to the day of her passing, was still painting.

This awesome WOMAN says so MANY things that I would personally say or feel especially about what people say you will be like or should be like at certain ages - oh the RIDICULOUSNESS imo!! I've NEVER lived my life based on my age ... I never could understand what people meant when they would say because they are 18, 21, 25 ... 55 ... 65 ... they have to wear this or that, do this or that etc. Huh? Living MY life based on an age NUMBER is so foreign to me as a creative person - SOUNDS DAMAGING! I'm not built that way ... living based on your age number is bondage and limiting which would be like smothering ME! I can't and refuse to do that! As I watch this, this morning, you would be 2 years from ninety, did you make it there? This year I will be 3 years from 60. In my minds eye, I keep the vision and feeling of myself in my 26th year. It was the WORST year of my life, yet, at the same time it was the BEST year of my life. "It was the best of times, and it was the worst of times." I came out of that year still alive, when death was, yes, standing in FRONT of me and not behind me. But now in my mid fifties my body has begun to betray me. The last year has been insanely painful. But I used to be able to cope with pain pretty well, not so much any more. But I persist, yes !! Thank you for your message, it gives me hope.

Yes, there are some limitations growing older like poor memory and a body not doing what I want , but it’s nice to have some excuses now… and I totally agree: retirement makes you free. Especially if you had a job life with more duties as wanted like me. Now I sit and knit, welcoming every new baby around, painting welcome cards for all of them, painting land scapes, flowers, even people, elves and angels. "Do it, now you do it" I love that. One of my children says this to me then trys to dominate my time looking after her children so she can Do It , she has no respect for the time I want for myself. Its all about purpose and being useful to her. I love my grandchildren and find it hard to make mysefl a priority. my other daughter is the opposite . Better start making my do it list.
You will love your grandchildren all your life. You will enhance their lives by being the free person you want , and deserve , to be. Imagine the adventures you can share with them and ,more importantly, teach them about the joy of inner peace and congruence.
Be that inspiring grandmother!!! Gift your daughter with your thanks for encouraging you to "Do it now you do it" then give her fair warning of when she needs to acquire new childcare and don't look back. Guilt is not something you ought to feel, it's of the making of your selfish daughter, so don't own or acknowledge it.

My hubby of almost 39 yrs & I have made a Valient attempt of doing the Brady Bunch family, at 42 I was forced into retirement due to health issues..the grandchildren started arriving & literally brought me back to life,giving me a purpose & a 2nd chance at righting some inescapable wrongs..those were some of the VERY best days of my life...some daughters are definitely more thoughtful than others!! Between us we have 6 and our fantasy of the "normal " happy family all came crashing down..it's been Another difficult transition, Definitely take time to smell your own roses but I also hope you don't miss the joys the grands can bring your way..Healthy Boundaries are Essential!!

Jenny is such a beautiful person, just what i needed to hear. She brought tears to my eyes. Life is very hard for some of us. It takes examples like her to jerk the truth about what life is all about. Sometimes it gets too tough when the people you love do not appreciate and take you for granted.it makes all the sacrifices you do go in vain especially when there no love and respect within ones family members. I wish i could do what i wanted to do for once. My whole life is about putting my family before myself and it pains me to know that its all not worth it!

I too am not where I would like to be, but we can still see the beauty around us. I started by sitting for 5 mins a day. Sending out love worked for me! Sending love to the birds and thanking them for their cheery songs. Helping our heart to feel love when we don't receive it.
This evening I sat watching evening primrose flowers unfurl. They were on a plant that I found in the garden, a self seeder.I put it in a pot and grew it on and when it was big enough I planted it in the spot where it is now flowering it's socks off!😊
Try to remember that you have a family like I do. My daughter has just found out through endometriosis stage 4 that she will never hold her baby like we did. Life has taken my children away, but they were our babies and nothing can take that away from us. A life experience that is sooo precious.
When family life sucks I try to remember when we were all happy and as babies they were safe in their cots.
We did an amazing job getting them safe to adulthood!
Always remember you are allowed to say no. If I get a request I will say I can't do that yet, but I will do it ...... Later, another day etc.
I started small and after the first time it's easier. It's just like when we weaned them off milk and onto solid food!
It is worth this extra bit because actually it is in their best interest.
And it will free you up! I would love a day to paint but usually it's mins instead of hours. I get stuck in and before I know it I have done something! Something which I could have ummed and ahhed about and still not achieved anything after a day!
See what you can do in an hour? Reading is brilliant as if you are interupted you can say, ' after I have finished this chapter' and then read the next one too!👍

You have to tell these people that they are toxic, tell them WHY they are toxic and then shut them OUT. I did and now I am free. There are too many people in our lives who want to control us because they can't control themselves.

And her artistic talent is breathtaking. I've loved this trilogy! What a beautiful woman in so very many ways. Her vitality, her art, her creativity, her courage and authenticity... Frankly, I do find her quite beautiful. Physically I mean! I'm sure that compliment would bounce off her like bullets off Superman, but I mean it. I feel sorry for her mother. She totally missed out on her beautiful daughters... What she said about the qualities she envy’s in the young-she expressed it so well and that is exactly how I feel with the gift of potential and time being the thing that makes me most nostalgic for youth. If you live to be old, you’ve had that time so I can’t be jealous of it but I can and do wish I could have another go at it. I’m hoping that retirement, if I’m lucky enough to get there, might be that opportunity. I’m very envious of muscle tone. Oh to have sleek, lean legs again!
