Ball joint press will fit if you Lean the Knuckle out the way remove the tie rod and the upper ball joint nut and lean the knuckle left or right and let the Upper control arm Hand down and the ball joint press will fit just fine
15:17 ... WHOA! where is the step to ADD the new grease to this UBJ... did you not add the new grease from the packets or leave this UBJ dry as a desert?
Old video- but do not remove the 4 lower ball joint bolts unless you have new ones on hand, or replacing the ball joint with new hardware, torque to yield and how those looked its best to replace, next time just remove the pin and castle nut from the lower ball joint
The vehicles you guys work on must be the east coast. I've never seen so much rust, and I live in WI. There is this company call Ziebart or Fluid Film. FYI: The make a simple $75 tool that helps remove ball joints so you don't have you pound your parts with a sledge hammer. Yikes.

Are the front struts on a 2wheel drive the same for a 4wd Toyota 4Runner? 1999 model
So your method of removing the joints is to deform the socket so it would pop out. Good plan
Is the pounds on the bolt for all tile of cars or just for these one
❤❤❤thank you
Also use blue locktite and you don’t need to bend both pins in the same direction, I over n other stays flat, or one over and one the other way-

Somehow, the most aggravating part was having to R&R the boot. It wasn't hard, just annoying.
that rust is horrific
