Honestly one of my favourite Twd universe characters ever. I think Austin Amelio is a great actor and Dwight has always been a sympathetic character in my eyes
I like how he stopped acting like a tough guy as soon as he had nothing to lose for, when Sherry escaped the Sanctuary. When he was bossing Daryl around earlier, felt like he was desperately trying to convince himself that there's no other way than bowing down to Negan.
Joke how Dwight never returned to the group. I would have loved to have seen him fight alongside Daryl and even Negan again. Dwight and Magna would have had an interesting dynamic too imo. Dwight could have helped lead the group.
If that lawsuit against Austin hadn’t happened then maybe Dwight would have either found Sherry during the 6 year time skip after season 8 and maybe he’d be at Alexandria w/ Sherry. I just wish he and Morgan didn’t get shipped off to fear. I would have loved seeing Dwight and Morgan react to the whisperers as well as seeing interactions between Dwight and Negan during the whisperer war and ofc seeing Daryl and Dwight and Negan team up against the whisperers a long w/ Morgan possibly though I believe Carol and Morgan would have been the better duo for dealing w/ the whisperers.
With Dwight I don't know what happened to me but like I kinda forgot everything from him until he showed up with Daryl's crossbow killing Denise. I think at the beginning I must have underestimated the character's plot and got lost later by who he was when he showed up with his ironed face. If my memory at least serves me here I remember that the explanation to what happened to his face came even after have killed Denise. I agree with what other people are commenting, he is one of the most charismatic and relatable characters of the series.
Wouldn’t have made sense plot wise. His wife was still out in the wilderness alone and several people in Rick’s group wanted him dead even more so than they wanted Negan dead
@@clownworld4655 yeah but they could have added her in the mix. Him and Daryl would have made a badass team especially after Rick was gone. It would have been hard but I think daryl would have forgave him to the point he could stand him. Everyone else would have too. They always forgave everyone. I dont really remember them wanting him more dead then negan though. Towards the end they knew he was helping them.
I went from hating Dwight, to feeling sorry for Dwight, to rooting for Dwight

Dwight is one of my favourites from the TWD, he’s human and I like it the most
