Looks like a beautiful hike, but a long one too. It is absolutely gorgeous up there! That is the fun of cutting open thunder eggs, you don't know what could be hiding inside. You guys definitely got a bunch of terrific eggs that are polish worthy! Looking forward to seeing that video. I'm glad you guys and the pups all had a great day. Thanks for sharing Karen!✌️🤠🤘

Yes it was an amazing hike and long for how many actual miles it was. That climbing and descending really puts you in touch with some muscle groups, lol. That surprise element is definitely one of the charms of thundereggs, just can't get enough! It'll be fun to polish these, the maroons, purples, blues and greens are among my favorites in all of Oregon. Thanks again for watching!

Some of the most beautiful country, IMO, we 'accidentally' get stuck back there a fair amount, lol. It was interesting how similar some of the eggs looked to those you had from clear over in Madras. Makes you wonder how far a mountain can chuck an egg! Thanks for watching!

What a great place to recharge. Beautiful scenery, a babbling creek and eggs. What more could you ask for. Well..... cut, cut, cut and you did. I loved them all. Each one a precious view into a chaotic time. There were some good shots of the two of you and the fur babies were ever watchful. The caption should read " Hey, this is the only thing I can lick without being yelled at!" I have made a lot of beautiful jewelery out of eggs, and I see some in your future. Pendants, earings and rings, depending in the size of the egg. Remember cut off two ends and you have earings or tumble then and then just split it and polish the backs. Keep having fun. Be happy, safe and stay healthy from, Las Vegas, NV. Lots of rocked on the exposed rim of Lake Mead. 😷⚒

Fabulous video, with titanic finds in an astounding setting! Your descriptions are priceless; I'm adding terms like "gnarly", "wavy", and "gooey" to my common chert characteristics, just to spice things up! "Twinkie jam" inspired saliva flows on this side of the screen! Thanks for the adventure! Still not licking any rocks, but your eggy examples sure look...tasty!

Thanks and I'm glad you don't mind the stream of consciousness vernacular! It's funny when I'm going back through the footage to edit and I'm like 'lol, you said what?!' These eggy delights wouldn't be good to lick, they used to mine cinnabar up there and the miners legit went crazy (so the local lore has it). I'll be polishing these up and we'll have a look soon on the podcast! Thanks for watching!
