    Love how she acknowledges it's serious and hard for lots of folks to come out, but tells her truth of it not being a big deal to come out in her personal life. She never wanted to hide it, but the adoption issue forced her to talk about it because of the injustice she experienced.

    What's the big deal about "coming out"? I'm hetero, do I need to come out because I like making babies? So what she likes women. We have too many people on this planet anyway, we need more gay non-baby making people.

    • @Twinklestar132

      Maybe it’s because you won’t be discriminated or even persecuted in certain countries for being straight.

    • @lukerinderknecht2982
      @lukerinderknecht2982 Před 13 dny

      So should gay people never reveal a very large aspect of their lives? Like who their partner is? Could you imagine never mentioning your wife in social situations? Or having to pretend she's just your "roommate"? Obviously not because straight is the "default". People aren't bullied for being straight. They don't have slurs yelled at them for being straight. They aren't subjected to the judgement of large parts of society or religious institutions. Their rights aren't targeted by unfair laws. Coming out just means you can be open about who you are. Even in spite of all that, you're acknowledging it's more important to live your true self than lead a miserable life of hiding out of fear of hate.

      It's because gay people are still discriminated against. Gay people struggle to belong, while straight people often just fit right in.

      in 2002 coming out was a big deal, of course it was it was 2002! same sex marriage wasn’t even legal in the US until 2015. why would we applaud straight people for their sexual orientation when they’re already openly accepted in society and are the “norm.” in 2023 it’s becoming more common for LGBT people to come out so eventually one day we will treat being LGBT as the norm as well and don’t have to applaud them but for now many people still have to worry about discrimination

      Meh thats the old testament, as far as the primary readers are concerned Jesus was a whackadoo who ended up being nailed to a tree because he started having issue with their money lending.
      Lets be honest Leviticus was the nutbar at the party that everyone wanted to leave with the don't lay with men, wearing mixed fabrics and the hatred for eating shrimp.

      hi Brittany Cunningham -- it is clear you have absolutely no medical, social, or developmental knowledge of what is healthy for a child.
      it is much better for a child to have two parents who are supportive, stable, and give them a great home and great education and great opportunities.

    • @Novin.S
      @Novin.S Před 11 měsíci

      Agreed. Every kid needs one male and one female parental figure to be able to emotionally grow and not end up socially inept. Not two abnormal gay or transgender freaks which consequently can lead to the kid being abnormal as well.
