    Sorry if this has been answered already, but how long does the glue take to dry, on average? I've been having a go myself and so far the walls haven't been holding together very well at all :(

    • @EsotericOrderGamers
      @EsotericOrderGamers  Před rokem

      White glue dries pretty quickly, but I always pin them as I glue them - it holds them in place while they dry. I then take out the pins when they're thoroughly dry, which is probably only 5 mins or so. It's also good to hold them together for a little while, pressing the surfaces together, until the glue' takes'. It should only take half a minute. Of course different brands of glue vary - just experiment and be patient!

    If your board game box isnt big enough, could you make another box out of foamcore? Is it strong enough to be made into a box or just to be made into inserts?

    • @EsotericOrderGamers
      @EsotericOrderGamers  Před 8 měsíci

      It can reinforce the inside of a box, but I wouldn't make a box out of it as the glued joints wouldn't be strong enough. But then it depends how the box is going to be used.

    What kind of glue do you use? PVA?
    And what kind of pins ? Needles or small spikes, boils ?

    What thickness is the sheet steel? Can we get it from arts shops?

    • @EsotericOrderGamers
      @EsotericOrderGamers  Před 5 lety

      I get it from a hardware store, Mitre10. It's about as thick as a sheet of thin cardboard.

      @@EsotericOrderGamers Sorry to be a pain, Peter, but could u kindly measure the thickness in mm please? Pretty please! I found a scrap sheet of steel at work. It is 2mm thick - is that too heavy? The game is The Gods War, dunno if u backed it on KS. The 2nd box is about L40 x W30 x H20cm

    • @EsotericOrderGamers
      @EsotericOrderGamers  Před 5 lety

      No worries at all Salman. 2mm is way too thick. The sheet I'm using is half a millimetre, maybe even a tiny bit thinner. It's like a piece of thin cardboard. Check out a hardare store to see if they have it - but make sure you don't get aluminium, which won't work with magnets!

    What is the other name for foamcore? Is it PVC foam? I cant find foamcore at my local store. What is the recommended thickness for the foamcore?

    • @EsotericOrderGamers

    what thickness are the magnets you use in this video?

    • @EsotericOrderGamers
      @EsotericOrderGamers  Před 4 lety

      6mm by 1.5mm. But the pulling power of a magnet varies a huge amount depending on its quality, so experiment.

    Do you know where to purchase foam core in Australia?

    • @EsotericOrderGamers
      @EsotericOrderGamers  Před 5 lety +1

      I'm in NZ these days, but check out art supply stores. I now buy it online, 5 large sheets at a time, from a NZ supplier called Gordon Harris. They'd be an online art supply store in Australia that sells it too, I'm sure.

    • @EsotericOrderGamers
      @EsotericOrderGamers  Před 5 lety

      I did, but I spread it all out over both core boxes, the Caverns of Cynder box, and the Frontier box. Not much good me making foamcore plans when different people will have different amounts of content.
