You should use a similar coloured piece of fabric on the under-lid so you don’t see any wood and it covers up the untidy corners when the lid is open!😍
For the flower crate, maybe using tissue paper could be a good option since it comes in larger pieces. This would reduce the visual of seams. But I love the seating idea!
Heads up: Wood glue attaches to wood- it doesn’t attach well to a finished surface. You would be better off using a different glue product if that is the case. This is why seasoned carpenters glue and assemble first, finish second. Plan your project accordingly.
i did my kitchen with them & got a countertop from the "damage goods" home store. also made an island . everything is accessible, skirting instead of doors, i did it for the cost of 3 new cabinets and got a nice kitchen
If you are going to spend the money to do the project I would spend a bit mor on fabric and neatly do the undersides of the lid and bottom of the inside of the crate ! Just a friendly suggestion! 😉
This is a nice little piece of beautiful furniture. I would've added a piece of light of chain, inside, on each side of the box to make it so that the lid does not go back any further then the length of the chain. I will be doing this idea in the very near future.
I would make sure that the slats are fully stained. You can see some wood showing through and some material to finish the lis on the inside. It is a great project and am going to try it.
If I was going to cover something like this I would use something that you can wipe clean eg: pvc tablecloth as paper napkins are not very hygenic and would fade
I don’t actually dislike the first part of this video, it’s just all so incorrect, it’s funny. It would take 3 paragraphs to explain, but for anyone who’s ever done decoupage, you know what I am saying.

I was thinking the same thing ...maybe even glue [fabric glue] a piece cut to fit of complementary design or piece of felt
I AGREE.
This is beautiful and I will be getting my supplies tonight!
I love this idea! Thanks for another great tutorial!

Iron the fabric first.

From where you bought the bostitch stapler and how much is it

I like the bench an ottoman 🤗
😊👍
Why do it on the bottom?
You really should have ironed the fabric first to remove the creases.

Video is good, but the music is annoying and repetitive. It would be much better w/o it.
Thank you! I agree completely. It would be so much better without any "music". The ambient background sounds would be better
