Seems like many folks are going for the dark and moody look like beckiandchris or peter McKinnon's petespiratelife page, but just ending up with underexposed pictures. IMO that look only works for certain compositions where you can still use the full dynamic range (ex some part of the image is still pushing the bright side of your histogram even if your histogram is left heavy). It'll be nice to see a tutorial on how to achieve that dark look without going into the underexposed look. For me that involves a lot of masking, then bringing the blacks up in the tone curve, adding some blues and bringing the luminance up in the shadows of the color grading panel

9:34 I believe was a pic taken in forza horizon 5, I think he does a bit of in-game photography.
It seems as though that may be the case, 🤔 interesting! I guess it’s tough to shoot raw in forza haha my bad!

Thanks to everyone who shared their profiles, I didn't have the guts to but learning a lot! Someone's grandpa once told me 'dress for the job you want, not the job you have' I guess it could be applied to how we 'dress' our IG pages

Thanks for the feature man! And yes, the sunset stuff is definitely a little oversaturated. The sky was absolutely bonkers that morning and I couldn't help myself. And I was fortunate enough to photograph Ken at Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally: STPR in September at my first rally event. I've learned so much from you and your videos. #kb43ver
For Motion/panning shots I shoot anywhere from 1/100th, all the way down to 1/5th, the "hit rate" is definitely less when you get really low, but it makes for some wild photos. Typically for some nice panning shots I can shoot consistently at 1/30th-1/25th. It takes a LOT of practice, and even takes time to "warm up" each time I shoot.

@@TheCarCreative hey no not at all, it’s really handy to know a professional who’s got a lot more experience in this field to see their view and what it looks like in your eyes. Very helpful for myself.
I started working and currently work with a lot of influencers so it’s kind of the scene Im in, alot of social media management so the “hype” aspect of models and influencers cars seem to work and get a positive response with clients I work with.

Great video! I will say that sometimes overexposed highlights can be creative decision, you needn't always keep them exposed (whether in camera or during the edit).

Hey dude, you often talk about preserving the highlights and the shadows of images so I am curious- do you ever use exposure bracketing to create more hdr photos? Obviously this only works with static shots, but I would love to know your thoughts on the technique.

Currently I'm exploring different types of photography, particularly street and car photography. Unfortunately, I don't have access to friends with impressive cars, and my attempts to work with dealerships have been unsuccessful. Therefore, I've been experimenting with taking pictures of parked cars and capturing random car panning shots. I would greatly appreciate any guidance on developing my channel and strategy.
