I DID IT!!! YAY!!!!!!! I've been wanting to try making a Paella for years but always thought it would be complicated and time consuming. I was wrong, and your recipe and instructions were spot on!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I can't wait to make it for friends!
I am so happy to hear that! Much love :)
I've been making paella with various degrees of succes for decades. This recipe is the one that worked perfectly for me and I highly recommend. Its easy and the timescale is spot on. The covering at the end of cooking is the real secret for the texture being perfect,
So happy to hear that! Much love :)
Just did it today for lunch. No Saffron, and I used squid, shrimp and a relative mussel which is endemic in our province. I also added green bell pepper as my late mom in-law would do, and used an ordinary rice with glutinous rice. Other members of the households were amazed how rice is being cooked. The whole family loved the aroma of the virgin olive oil, with garlic and the tomatoe sauce. It turned out well.
I am sure it would've tasted better with Saffron, parsley. But can't complain so far.
This video really get me started. Muchos gracias!
So happy to hear that! much love :)
I never try Spanish food before, it looks so delicious!
Love paella. Just made it couple of days ago. Seafood one is my favourite. Thank you for sharing. happy day everyone
Thanks for the comment :) much love!
This is the only paella recipe video I've seen that actually discusses how to get the Socarrat, and it's one of the simplest to follow
Yes!!! Much love :)
@@SpainonaFork You're a legend mate, I've seen a few since I posted this comment that explain it, but they always have it actually burned.... like charred, you get the red/burgundy colour and that's my goal, I'll keep trying till I get there
Alot of them also put the saffron in the mix with the rice, before adding any liquid, which I don't agree with, I really like the process of mixing the saffron into the broth and adding the rice after the tomato puree. I'm a few generations out of Spain, but this cuisine comes naturally to me, and I can just tell your recipes are the real deal
Thank you for posting this. I am currently obsessed with paella. Regards from Alaska.
Thanks for the comment :) Greetings from Castellon, Spain!

Wow superb video 40 like
I've been cooking paella for years, but I like the idea of adding the tomato and paprika for extra flavour. I'm going to try it tonight and try and get that socarrat flavour.
Hope you enjoy! Much love :)
@@SpainonaFork Thank you. I added the tomato and paprika and it lifts the paella to another level. It was delicious! I didn't get the socarrat I wanted, but it was still great. I did it with chicken, chorizo, peppers and peas.
Incidentally, I posted a picture of it on my Instagram, and my Valencian friend said it "wasn't authentic", as true paella "doesn't have bit added" (I think she meant the meat and vegetables). I know paella has lots of regional variations in Spain, and some places add rabbit or fish, but I wanted it balanced with meat and the vegetables to make it healthier. I love how the added meat and veg soaks up the flavour of the stock and saffron etc.
I love seafood paella nice recipe😍😘
Thanks for the comment :) much love
Great video Albert.....
Thanks for the comment Timothy :) much love
I agree it looks out of this world and delicious...Like, sixty five

my favorite part of these panned dishes are always the burnt crust at the bottom. Soooo much flavor and I saw that when you took that first scoop
Much love :)
Great video, I like 👏😍😍👌👌👏👍👍😋😋
Thanks for the comment :) much love
I haven't had paella in over 10 years. I must try this recipe
Thanks for the comment :) much love
wish you all the success
Thanks for the comment :) much love
I love Southern Spanish food. It's so Moorish.
This dish here actually hails from eastern Spain, but yeah that saffron is a BIG influence on the dish, much love :)
@@SpainonaFork no it is a Moorish dish In Arabic they called it "Bahia" and later on it changed into pealla because of the hard vowel
Bought some killer Spanish smoked saffron threads at Costco today. What recipe do recommend most, please?!?!? Stoked!
You can use that saffron in so many ways, start by making this paella, it will work awesome! much love
Hi! Which one of your paella recipes would you reccomend? I’ve seen both of the paella videos you made.
I recommend both! this one is much simpler, while the authentic one has more depth of flavors, probably start with this one as it is much easier to make :) much love!
Hi 48# like wow 😮 wow 😮 very good cooking nice video thank you for sharing likeeeeeeeeeeeee 👍💗👍😀💗💗
Thanks for the comment :) much love
@@SpainonaFork hi thank you too welcome 💓🙏💓🙏💓😀🍷😀👍🍷💘👍💘
Looks delicious it's sad that I can't eat shrimp or muscles. I love how convenient and colorful flavoring it looks. I don't know if this is already made on this channel but have you made Magdalenas?
I haven´t made magdalenas yet, but will surely be making a video recipe soon :) much love
starmelody Elizabeth B mussels
hello! thanks for your video and nice recipe to make paella i really like it and can i ask you how to make the water..? sea food water..?for pella and did you ise saffron?? cause its quite difficult to get saffron in korea so i want to know its necessary or not thanks!!!
The liquid I used was fish broth I bought in the market, yes saffron is a must have ingredient, but if you cannot get it, you can use turmeric :) much love
Would you say 1 cup is a good portion for 2? If i wanted to make 2 cups would i just double the recipe?
Where is the broth from and how is it made?
I want paella and more paella... Greetings, friend. Thanks.
Thanks for the comment Olivier :) much love
Interesting
Thanks!
I just made paella for the first time :) so delicious! I had to try very hard to not eat all of it :) sweet memories from our trip to Spain last year. Thank you!
Wonderful! much love :)

Like 70 👍👍👍Very nice👌👌
Thanks for the comment :) much love
What size is the pan please and is it enamel?
Could I use clam broth in place of fish broth? And how about adding white fish to the recipe? Would those work or would the flavors be authentic?
Yes you can use clam broth, though the flavors will be a bit different, and yes you can add white fish, that will not affect the over-all flavor, since white fish is usually very mild in flavor :) much love
Looks like a new paella pan. Can you share a link for it?
There is a link in the description box with the pan I used, much love
Is your pan 32cm? Also, although I have a paella pan, what is your opinion on the paella pan vs. cast iron, please? Ty
Actually 28 cm, in a paella pan the rice cooks more evenly, but you can always use a cast iron if you like :) Much love
Can i use arborio rice or any other substitute?
You can use arborio rice or short to medium grain rice :) much love
⏪💙⏩" Thanks for sharing this recipe with your viewers, Albert ! " ⏪💙⏩ ( 👍👍 )

Spain on a Fork,

Thank you. Will try to cook paella.Never eat paella!
Let me know how it turns out! much love
Que rico mmm 👏👏👏👏😀🌟🌟🌟🌟
Muchas gracias Yoli :) un abrazo
@@SpainonaFork De nada amigo 🙋😀
@@SpainonaFork igualmente para ti también 🙅
I cannot find parsley in our place, and our local flavor doesn't really need it. On one hand I know the difference in taste of having it. But since it's not available, will basil work as an alternative? Thanks.
Basil would not match, I would use either chervil or chives :) much love
Gracia! I just made another paella today and decided to wait for your feedback.
Looks delicious recipe tfs stay connected
Are the prawns cooked or raw? Should I fry them first?
They are raw, you want to cook them in the broth for more flavor :) much love
@@SpainonaFork can I just say.......... you are a genius. Your recipes are sooo good and authentic tasting
Yesterday I made your 6 of your recipes for tapas and they were all soo delicious. I did add some sugar into the meatball sauce for a slightly sweet kick but other than that it was delicious, every dish
Thank you so much
Keep doing what you’re doing
👍
Why you did not use monkfish
I'm sorry. Are you saying Brown rice or Round rice?
Round Rice :) much love
eek! i put too much tomato puree and fish broth so by the time the broth cooked off the rice was burnt black on the bottom of the pan :(
Its better than risotto.
Subsrcibed becouse got bored of food what i am eating everyday. And can say got inspiration to make something new. Thanks ;)
Appreciate the support and comment :) much love
But you can use japanese rice, right? It is just the same
You can use any rice that you want, it´s just that round rice is what is used here in Spain :) much love
Hello, We visited you and left our gift. We wait. We wish you luck. 👍🔔🎁
Audio is too loud :/
There’s a button to turn it down. It’s not hard.
This looks delicious but I'm sure you know this isn't the traditional Spanish recipe for seafood paella. Here's a link to Wikipaella. It has all the info on the authentic paella recipes. wikipaella.org/receta/public/resultados
This guy is supposed to be a professional and he called shrimp shrimp’s, I like people who use correct I didn’t think the recipe was that good no lobster no scallops
