Revisiting this video from February of 2020 and can now truly appreciate your remarks (starting around the 11:30 mark in the video) about the first warnings we had just started hearing about the pandemic. So much wisdom in your message, Becky. Who could have guessed how this man-made disaster could have mushroomed since that time about two years ago? The enemy of our souls has wrought so much havoc on the world with it.

I'm glad you mentioned the Coronavirus. When you were preparing the stock, I made a mental note, to add garlic. The better our immune system, the better our ability to fight the virus.
I know this was posted two years ago but actually vitamin D has been proven to be far better for fighting any viruses especially covid as not only does it actually boost your immune system but it has been proven to help protect your lungs against covid which is where covid actually attacks before any other part of your body so your lungs get the worst of it. Garlic does nothing unless you are eating a cup of it every day.

Becky, this is the best recipe for broccoli and cheese soup I've ever made. I made it tonight for supper, and my husband and I ate the entire pot. Thank you for the recipe! It's delicious!
Well, its after midnight, and once again, miss Becky, you have made me hungry! Lol! Now, I have to go to the grocery store in the morning and get what I need to make this delicious looking soup! Man, I wish we had smell-a-vision!! Lol! I've made broc/cheddar soup before, but not this way. It tasted good, but your's looks waaaay better! In that recipe, you made a rue with the butter and either flour or corn starch, and seasonings first. Then you had to add your water or milk and veggies, which were just broccoli, carrots and then cheese. To me it was more like a creamy broccoli and cheese instead if a hearty soup. I think I will make your soup for dinner tomorrow night and make some cheddar/ garlic biscuits to go with it! I do agree that we need to prepare a bit, but I don't believe we need to go crazy. I believe we have started the Beginning of Sorrows. I think God is warning us not to wait until the 11th hour to accept Christ as our Saviour, because tomorrow is not promised! 🕊🙏 I also believe we should all pray for those infected with the virus as well as those that are grieving the loss of thier loved ones taken by this horrible illness. 🙏 Thanks for another awesome, inspiring video! I have had migraines in the past, I know how awful they are, the light sensitivity, the noise sensitivity, even the smell and taste sensitivity After literally suffering for years, my doctor put me on blood pressure medicine and I have been migraine free since. Please check with your doctor. I hope you can rid yourself of these horrible headaches. God bless you and your great programs, especially spreading of the word.

There are so many recipes you show us that remind me of my mama and my Memo’s cooking. They have been gone a long time and I never had the chance to learn how they did things before they passed. I've been thinking of making this. It's been a long time, but I think it's a good way to get more greens into the diet if chewing is an issue and softer foods are needed. I've also got a mystery pepper that grew on it's own, probably a jalapeno or serrano, and ready to pick to add to cornbread to go with the soup. In Florida we can't always wait for the cold weather to make soup. LOL

We used to have a store that made its major dairy case markdowns by 8AM-9AM Sunday mornings. When the weather was cold, weld pass by early eniugh to stop, toss into the trunk, and be on our way. Sunday dinner plans were often left open, or Monday, for cream of broccoli, cauliflower, potato soup based upon what was in clearance in the dairy case. - This video takes me back to those times.

Im getting so excited about recipes that include veggies again. Im getting my first immersion blender and my non-veggie eater AT ALL can be persuaded to eat this with no actual veggies showing. 2 years later I watch the video, run to Aldi's for some broccoli and cheese and make me a pot O soup. No tweaking, I followed the recipe. Just added a sprinkle of Franks hot sauce before my repast.
In these trying times it takes tremendous faith and trust to make it through; it never hurts to have some hearty soup, too. I will have to try making this, since my wife recently tried the store-bought stuff ( a good brand) and now craves it. I have no doubt this recipe will meet her approval. She trusts me in the kitchen, and is never disappointed no matter what I fix. (I was raised by Southern cooks, after all). Thanks for sharing this.

Here in Canada, we have a donut coffee fast food chain called "Tim Hortons" and they serve Broccoli Soup in their menu. Since then I became a fan and frequently been ordering it. Now, I decided to make this Broccoli Soup every now and then and it became my favorite comforting meal!

"If you make it from scratch it's more than just soup" there is so much truth in this one simple but deep statement. Homemade is cheaper, healthier, and tastes better. No chemicals and hard to pronounce ingredients. And there is something about a good homemade soup that just takes you home, usually because it reminds you of mamma. And as a wife and mamma there is something richly satisfying about taking the time to prepare a good hearty homemade soup for your family. Very fulfilling. My grandpa from Slovakia made tomato gravy and put it on toast during the Depression. My Mom taught me how to make it as an easy meal. I put it over mashed potatoes.

One of the reasons I love to watch is that you show homemade food such as my grandparents and Mom made. Having a strong faith and sharing it with your spouse is an important part of life, love and spirituality. My wife and I don't usually cook together but do spend that time in the kitchen together. I've always lived in a home that had the kitchen as the main area for people to interact. Since it's just the two of us in this time of shut down, this time becomes very important.

I have had migraines in the past, I know how awful they are, the light sensitivity, the noise sensitivity, even the smell and taste sensitivity After literally suffering for years, my doctor put me on blood pressure medicine and I have been migraine free since. Please check with your doctor. I hope you can rid yourself of these horrible headaches. God bless you and your great programs, especially spreading of the word.

There are so many recipes you show us that remind me of my mama and my Memo’s cooking. They have been gone a long time and I never had the chance to learn how they did things before they passed. I really appreciate having a channel that reminds me of home. I sure hope this virus doesn’t become a pandemic. I've been thinking of making this. It's been a long time, but I think it's a good way to get more greens into the diet if chewing is an issue and softer foods are needed. I've also got a mystery pepper that grew on it's own, probably a jalapeno or serrano, and ready to pick to add to cornbread to go with the soup. In Florida we can't always wait for the cold weather to make soup. LOL

We used to have a store that made its major dairy case markdowns by 8AM-9AM Sunday mornings. When the weather was cold, weld pass by early eniugh to stop, toss into the trunk, and be on our way. Sunday dinner plans were often left open, or Monday, for cream of broccoli, cauliflower, potato soup based upon what was in clearance in the dairy case. - This video takes me back to those times.

I just made this last night, it was my first time making soup of any kind and I must say with your wonderful instructions I have never tasted any soup I liked more. Im getting so excited about recipes that include veggies again. Im getting my first immersion blender and my non-veggie eater AT ALL can be persuaded to eat this with no actual veggies showing. I too really miss vegetables. Had my teeth removed and even though I bought a new smile, veggies still pose a problem, this soup will definitely help me get those veggies back into my diet!!

Update: Holy cow! I tried your broccoli cheddar soup from scratch and it was delicious! I didn't even need to add any sugar. My husband loved it too. Thank you for your wonderful recipe.
2 years later I watch the video, run to Aldi's for some broccoli and cheese and make me a pot O soup. No tweaking, I followed the recipe. Just added a sprinkle of Franks hot sauce before my repast.
In these trying times it takes tremendous faith and trust to make it through; it never hurts to have some hearty soup, too. I will have to try making this, since my wife recently tried the store-bought stuff ( a good brand) and now craves it. I have no doubt this recipe will meet her approval. She trusts me in the kitchen, and is never disappointed no matter what I fix. (I was raised by Southern cooks, after all). Thanks for sharing this.

Here in Canada, we have a donut coffee fast food chain called "Tim Hortons" and they serve Broccoli Soup in their menu. Since then I became a fan and frequently been ordering it. Now, I decided to make this Broccoli Soup every now and then and it became my favorite comforting meal!

"If you make it from scratch it's more than just soup" there is so much truth in this one simple but deep statement. Homemade is cheaper, healthier, and tastes better. No chemicals and hard to pronounce ingredients. And there is something about a good homemade soup that just takes you home, usually because it reminds you of mamma. And as a wife and mamma there is something richly satisfying about taking the time to prepare a good hearty homemade soup for your family. Very fulfilling. Thanks for this I've been wanting a good broccoli and cheddar soup recipe. Love your videos and your wisdom and witness. Praise Yahweh!! Oh by the way. I would love to see a video about making tomato gravy if you dont already have one. My daddy's people are from Appalachia so we grew up eating it. But folks deeper south don't know anything about tomato gravy.

My grandpa from Slovakia made tomato gravy and put it on toast during the Depression. My Mom taught me how to make it as an easy meal. I put it over mashed potatoes.

One of the reasons I love to watch is that you show homemade food such as my grandparents and Mom made. Having a strong faith and sharing it with your spouse is an important part of life, love and spirituality. My wife and I don't usually cook together but do spend that time in the kitchen together. I've always lived in a home that had the kitchen as the main area for people to interact. Since it's just the two of us in this time of shut down, this time becomes very important.
