    Hello everyone.
    Although not common, sometimes high currents are required in TIG welding.
    When welding thick metal...
    Or even when a lot of filling is required, high currents are used.
    Today, I will introduce a simple example of how to melt a lot of filler wire with high current in order to fill it a lot.
    Of course, there are advantages and disadvantages to it. There are also various situations where it applies.
    In the future, we will introduce various situations where high currents are used.
    Thank you for watching and have a great week.

    시청해주셔서 감사합니다 그리고 즐거운 한주 보내세요.
    용접기 및 주변기기에 대한 내용은 제조사에 문의 하시면 더 정확한 답변을 얻으실수 있습니다.

    If you’re mass producing, and all you’re welding is steel, maybe mig might be the way to go.

    • @brnmcc01
      @brnmcc01 Před 3 měsíci +1

      That looks like 3/8" inch plate, would be better with mag instead of mig. Metal Active Gas aka spray arc transfer, needs different gas and more voltage and wire speed than MiG, but produces nice looking welds with no spatter and works great in flat position. The downsides is you can't spray out of position, (vertical up, or overhead etc), unless use an expensive pulse MiG machine.

    • @Will51781
      @Will51781 Před 3 měsíci

      @@brnmcc01 actually worked for a company doing this, with the pulse equipment. We were trying to perfect open root single bevels with an uphill progression. When everything comes together it works really well, but a lot of stars has to align.

      It'll be fine, i've used 2 filler wires exactly like that for piping that passed xray. No worries, only some wps don't allow multiple filler wires at once.

    • @jokervienna6433
      @jokervienna6433 Před 5 měsíci +1

      My thoughts too. I know that if I had done something like that in my welding school, I would have been scolded. Big time. It´s not only about two filler wires, it is also about the temperature. But ok, it might work - I´d definitely choose MIG or MAG for doing this thick steel (but the TIG seams looks really nice, it is welding porn).

    • @z1teq
      @z1teq Před 5 měsíci +1

      @@jokervienna6433 you obviously just need more amps for running multiple filler wires, just like when using a single thicker filler wire. The advantage of multiple wires, are that you can flow it better in a much wider puddle, where a single thick wire will tend to bulge in the middle.

    • @jokervienna6433
      @jokervienna6433 Před 5 měsíci +1

      @@z1teq of course, I totally agree. At the same time, we do have different welding methods for solving specific problems, right? TIG is not what I would use for this thickness, but ok - if it is the only method available, then this is really good to know.

    • @z1teq
      @z1teq Před 5 měsíci

      @@jokervienna6433 True, but stainless steam piping gets this thick, and is often required to be welded with TIG.
      For this specific joint, wire fed is obviously a better suited process.

      То что трясутся руки не особенно влияет на качество сварочных швов. Я смотрел одного сварного, у него тоже трясутся руки, но всё отлично получается и даже учит других. У меня тоже небольшой тремор есть периодически... Используйте что-то рядом, как подставку для рук. Мне помогает! Желаю удачи!

Quand au bras qui s' occupe de la torche , regarde comment fonctionne un bras de robot pour les soudures automatisées , tout est dans le poignet , le reste étant stable ( épaule et coude ) . buy a cheap 3 in 1 Mig, stick, Tig machine - (High frequency start) and start. most welding school is hands on- so get your hands on one and get to work. It dont have to be an expensive name brand. cheap chinese tig good enough- Aluminum / steel tig requires ac a machine that has both ac/dc around 500$usd. Dc only for steel $150usd. Lanthinated tungston $15-20$, Bottle and 100% Argon gas > $300 for tank and gas is around $30 depend on size of tank. GET A 3 IN ONE THOUGH- So you can experiment with all when the money comes around to buy electrodes and mig wire.
