    How much this plant cost? What volume of pyrolysis oil it produces per day?

    To the poster: Cool video. To anyone else asking tons of questions: there’s no engineer sitting online answering to your questions so just shut up and watch or move on.

    So you burn gas or gasoline to convert plastic in oil and fuel instead producing new plastic or chemicals for plastic regeneration.
    1) Some kind of plastics generate dioxine: how do you eliminate it?
    2) By pyrolysis (or cracking) you obtain alkenes, not alkanes needed for fuel; so to get alkanes you must use hydrogen and catalyst in a secondary reactor.
    3) The crude product needs fractional distillation purifiering the alkenes, separated for molecular mass.
    4) Where do you put the residual tar?
    5) How many is the energetic balance between consumed energy and the final product?
    6) Which kind of plastic do use? Also halogenated polymers?

      Which is safer? To recycle the plastics or release them in the environment?

    • @phantomzone2571
      @phantomzone2571 Před 5 měsíci

      @@Greenergy254 It's safer to recycle the plastics, not to convert them in fuel. Their color can be amines like aniline, or heterocyclic amines: the pyrolysis can produce more dangerous and reactive molecules, and cyanide (expecially from ammides) and nitrous oxide. What do you prefer?

    Where do you dispose the carbon ashes? And how about the exhuast gas from burning, where does it goes? Or how do you confine it?

      Carbon powder has many uses. My surprise is how clean the plastic looks. The gases are collected and distilled into gas. This gas is methane. Everything else turns to liquid a kind of “crude” gasoline/diesel mix

      @phantomzone2571 Před 11 měsíci

      @@zodd0001 I understand. However you mentioned wax. Do you mean heavy esters or heavy alkanes (paraffins)?
      Also you need hydrogen to get smaller linear chain or you obtain non linear chain and alkenes.
      You can separate different alkanes with sulfuric acid (this compounds have different solubility in it), or low the temperature near 0°C after adding water: at this temperature some compounds go down the water layer.
