Joe- the greatest guitarist of the modern era.
What an impeccable intro
That drummer is a damn powerhouse
What a fantastic rhythm section, he had simple, plain and so good
This is the Bonamassa sound that I first latched onto. What a band. They knock this song into a new realm.
Taking a hit is a belter as well,I first heard it promoted in guitarist magazine ✌
This was jb as he was before he was cleaned up. And sadly that meant Kenny kraemer and Eric czar departed.shame. Great band.
what do you mean "has been cleaned up"? haven't known him that long....
Definitely
These three and their take on this song is extremely awesome
Joe Bonamassa gives me goosebumps every time I see him play, the hair on my arm is standing up right now. He's F'ing amazing.
Joe & The Boys, kicking major ass. Fresh take on a classic song.
Damn, I never get tired of this.
Wow, I loved this song on the Blind Faith album so much. First time I heard it, back than, it totally swept me of my feet. I remember those days, dancing the night away, having great bonfires at the beach, lots of friends, wine, fun cigarettes, nice food, LSD, oh my, what great memories of a time so long ago. Being a granny now, I am totally in awe how Mr. Bonamassa does a great job with his version of this song. This time the cover totally matches up with the original. Thanks for sharing.
I am so with you DirkjeA!!!!! All the above. We lived in La Selva Beach below Aptos on the Monterey Bay. What parties...medical LSD, indica pure, and a touch of medical coke. Oh Lord! I am 76 now and never thought I'd make 60! I, too, am a grandpa and old! Man was it fun or what!?
Ken Skeen hehe that's cool. good times. I'm from 83, born too late dammit :-)
This is jb when he could do anything he liked. Long solo's. He didn't give a damn not at £5 ahead. Now he's high street market .Anything up to £200.00 pound a head. Worth every penny. Go jb.
Your post was just the way it was back in those days in St. Augustine Florida. Getting high down at Summer Haven Matanzas Inlet building a bonfire on the beach. Waiting for the sun to come up to go surfing and listening to the ocean pound the rocks. Watching the orange sunshine through slits in my eyes. haha!! I loved blind faith , Hendrix, Zepplin etc. Learning songs on my Gibson 345 and chasing women around , going skinny dipping and looking at the phosphorous under the water. I actually think JB is a step beyond Blind Faith as far as his guitar playing. Never thought that was possible back then. Thank God I made it this far. (Rusty)
5 string bass is amazing.
Great Eric Czar, the Best Bass Player for Joe
Up there and close with Cream ..... great "power" trio!
The ultimate power trio bar none. This lineup was perfect
What a lovely treat to listen to....
Blown away.
They sound so good toghether.I am totally in love with this...
👍🤘😎🎸🎸🎸😎🤘👍💕💕
Unquestionably the singularly most under rated guitar player. He is top 5 on any list...probably top 3...if not # 1
No.1. Mate. For years to come.
Awesome- Blind Faith on steroids!!
Great live performance!
Joe Bonamassa power trio covering super hot version of Steve Winwoods "Had to cry today" OUCH!!!
Blind Faith
Always thougt this an exceptional cong, best version yet!!!
No doubt about that but sadly for him to become the Musician he is today he had change. He did and now he’s making millions like his talent deserves. E dosnt forget his favourites like anton fig bowgey bowles e still uses them in studio. I just wish he could find a slot somewhere for kenny Cramme and Eric Czar.
The bassist, Eric Czar looks a lot like Jack Cassidy, from the good old days. His playing is out-friggin'-standing. Super excellent.
You must be old like me!!!!!! First saw Jack Cassidy in '68 at the old Carosel Ballroom in SF, as the "new" Jefferson Airplane knocked it silly. Thought Jack was the coolest! Marty Balin, Yorma K., and this gorgeous chick named Grace Slick! She was dressed as Robin Hood and at the break at the goodie stand (we all had munchies! :-)) she stood right behind me, I turned and she smiled a smile to melt me! Then the Dead played. What a buzzing night! I, too, thought of Jack C. immediately! Rockin' on!
Yep, 63, loved the Airplane. Loved Slick. She sure was a pretty thing. But we all grow older. I used to be pretty too. I've been a pro guitar player for 50 years, almost famous. Those were the days huh?
Thanks Rick! I moved to San Jose, Ca. in Jan. '62 and began my 48 year career in the finish building supply business. My love from early days was the budding blues, R & R music. First 2 concerts were in '58-'59 in Eugene, Or...Jerry Lee Lewis and Fats Domino..sat in folding chairs right in front of them and they smiled at me and my buddy. In the Bay Area 21 years, I have seen the greatest of the greats..the list is too long for here....but McCartney and Linda "Wings Over America" tour then Eric Clapton, both at the SF Cow Palace. Seen Bonnie Raitt (LOVE HER!), Doc and Merle, Lynryd Skynyrd (3 times the originals) ..always closing with "Freebird" for some 15 minutes of mayhem!! Robin Trower, Joe Cocker, Kinks, Leon Redbone, Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young (4 times in various groupings and venues), Joan Baez, B.B. King (WOW!), Janis Joplin before she did Woodstock..oh my, such awesome memories of fun (as I remember). As Timothy Leary said.."If you remember the '60's, you weren't there!" :-) Gonna' see Joe Bonamassa (my new hero) 10/16/17 in Eugene, Or. at the Hult Center..9 rows back orchestra ($125. per). Never stop rockin' brother!
Ken Skeen When.my phone went off I was happy to see it was your reply post. Thanks for the very cool stories, I can only wish for those days. Joe Bonamasso has that special something when he is on stage, I'm not gonna say ' perform ". Its an experience to see him pour his essence and soul through his guitar. Yes there are great guitarists that are right on technically and hit all the notes but Joe is beyond that. When Clapton requests playing with you, you know there is something very special going on.
Joe seems down to earth and not filled with himself and is quite generous. How many artists give away albums to download for free? I hope the show in October to see Joe is another special experience for you to add to all those great memories of the past.
Still like that boney,white boy
From Texas.
Joe, did a great job playing this song!!!!
Outstanding cover! I love Blind Faith too!
I can NEVER get enough of this video!!! How I wish I was there at this concert!! Amazing Bonamassa!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
BLOWN AWAY!!!!!
WOW...who are the 17 PPL who didn't like this...what are you daft???....killer musicianship
Joe just became my idle that's the real deal
I love to watch this and project my consciousness onto his and therefore I am him, a rock god that everyone dreams of being, and everyone adores you.Totally cool.
This concert got me hooked for life. Since seen him live but always favour this. ELECTRIC!!!
Le premier DVD Joe Bonamassa que j' ai acheté, fantastique concert, et que de chemin parcouru par Joe depuis, A VOIR ET REVOIR SANS MODERATION
Awesome!
At 0:42 I started to sing: "A modern day warrior mean, mean stride, today's Tom Sawyer mean, mean pride" :-D
Haha it's true !!
Me too I thought they were gonna break out some Rush!!
Love it when it gets heavy !
Smokin' Joe. Il capo di tutti capi (Boss of all the bosses).
Really loving the sound here! :)
Eric Czar is amazing.....!
Joe made me cry today...
Wish his old freinds would join back again ! They are amazing crew !!
Holy Crap!! Astounding!
Love Joe!!!!
KILLER!!!
He’s the best of the best !!!!!
Paid $6 to see Joe at Santa Fe brewing company with Ryan mcgarvey Several Years ago. Incredible show. So fortunate to know of him before stardom.
I always thought that this was JB's best lineup. IT seemed to me that Czar pushed Joe out of his comfort zone to maybe another level. Anyway I wish that they would have played together longer. Props to Kramme on drums too.
Agreed, Eric's not a pocket bassist and there was pretty much two lead guitars when they played, they could of made this a progressive trio, its ashamed because I haven't seen Eric since.
Unfortunately jb was a much bigger package. He was up for stardom. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE ERIC and Kenny work him again but Eric you can't smoke.
Awsome. The best ever. Just chill to this.
Great!!!
I'm beginning to understand... you truly are a blessing!
joe, please tour this trio again
Looks like the bass player is rocking a Lace Bassbar pickup. Sounds nice.
Joe is such a badassssssss!!!!!
Intro sounds like a wee bit of Peter Frampton influence !! HOT Hot Hot !! Nice job on this song !!

Yep Eric Czar's right up there with Stanley Clarke.
Written by Steve Windwood back in the mid 60's
eric czar is a bass beast!
Totally agree with you, he is just so super cool.... one of the best.
Absolutely one of the best I've ever heard. This guy's kickin my butt! Excellent playing!

This was before stardom just as hot today he always does 200% no matter he's sang it 100 times per pro
i wish there was like a 10 hour block of the first 1:45 of the song!

Boses headset this is awsome....baseman!!!!
Ja, der gute Joe Bonamassa war mal ein richtig geiler Blues-Rocker...
...bevor er den Kommerz entdeckte.
Joe,
Get a haircut hippie
Do you remember us in Dallas?
I think that the Telecaster style guita he used in this gig isnt a wooden body , and that its a resonate kind of metal😎 what are your thoughts?
The crowd says it all...
...what do you expect? They are Germans...
I swear half the views of this video are mine.
..ein wirklich geiles Stück..schade dass Eric nicht mehr mit Joe spielt ..beim Live Konzert in Saarbrücken vermisste ich Eric schmerzlich..die Music hat seit seinem Fortgang an Qualität verloren!
If you don't like Joe you don't like great music! case closed!
Stupid pointless comment
Joe i am a homebody of massive responsibility.
You rock and live your tale...
Though blimey i do declare you do make me feel rather peculiar. In a very nice way...
You as hungry as me find
me.
oh, But,sorry Absolutely fantastic giutar playing!....
this has an interesting frampton vibe to it.
"Teaser"; "Player" you're joking right? Stay safe, be well...much love. On it!
Honour bound to my sons. All have problems and as a widow i am mum n dad
If i was just me Joe. };oD
the Radiohead "High and Dry" beat
Blind Faith version is just too great, the guitar solos are awesome. Joe 's version is loud.........
😍😍😍😍😎
What happened to Steve Winwood.... I'm sorry been offline for awhile
E di lui che dire...ormai ho detto tutto...
Joe quotes something at about 2:58... Someone recognize what it is? Maybe Santana?
в гитарист он красивый...
9:32 that's 11 seconds of ouch, lol
Joe Snell Bonamassa
3♥
Joe is the best today! His bass player is also super but he is not Joe. Ego conflict ?
what do you mean?
I dunno
In which album are all this concert's songs ?
Bonamassa live at Rockpalast 2005
Nickolas Bou the albums “had to cry today” and a couple from “so, it’s like that” 👌😎
