- Would you choose Fruity or Chocolatey? We choose both with this Raspberry and White Chocolate layer cake. An 8 layer cake to be precise! Sally and Dane are back to show you the ins and outs of yet another Crumbs and Doilies classic cake. This moist yet fluffy Raspberry Ripple sponge is filled with alternating layers of White Chocolate Buttercream and home made Raspberry Goo (video link below!) and decorated with Meringue Kisses and Gold Leaf decorated White Chocolate balls.

Raspberry Ripple Sponge (4 x 9" tins)
Preheat Oven to 170C (fan assisted)
625g softened Unsalted Butter
625g Caster Sugar
10 Eggs
625g SR Flour
4 tbsp Whole Milk
Raspberry Goo (see above link)
White Chocolate Buttercream
500g softened Unsalted Butter
730g Icing Sugar
Whole Milk to loosen
320g White Chocolate

Quick tip: if anybody doesn’t want to splash out on a turntable for price or storage reasons, a great alternative is a microwave plate. Turns great on a flat surface 😉

I ordered my turntable cause tomorrow’s my Birthday but due to delay I’m gonna receive it this Friday.I really like your tip but unfortunately I don’t have a microwave either.Maybe I’ll try using a metal platter or something.😩😂😭

But honestly I love videos with both sally and Dane together. It’s such a fun video. They both do well by themselves but together they make great cookies 🤣, amongst other things as well.

Coconut cake with lime or pineapple or another suitable fruit just not to much of the lime and pineapple so it does not over power it. Could u do individual freezable black forest gateaux. I know you dont do fondant cakes very often but a fondant tutorial or cake would be good.

Thank you for the recipe! I've made it this weekend for a birthday party and it was absolutely amazing. One of the best I've ever had. I made it in 8" cake tins so had to increase my baking time a little bit. And ive changed the decorations - mixed all or the frosting with the raspberry goo so its light pink , rainbow on top and unicorn sprinkles around the bottom edge.

This cake looks amazing! Definitely on my list to make! Can you guys do a coconut layered cake and either all coconut flavor or add another fruity flavor like pineapple, lime, passion fruit, or whatever else goes with it flavor wise?

Oooh I have to jump in here. A few months back I made a Pina Colada cake. The sponge was a basic white cake with shredded coconut added to it. I used a rum extract simple syrup on top of my layers. The filling? I used frozen cherries that I turned into a jam. The frosting? I used Gemma's SMBC recipe. I added shredded pineapple from the can that I drained using a piece of cheesecloth and coconut cream. I added the coconut cream to taste. It held up beautifully in her SMBC frosting. This was a 3 9in layer cake. It was heavenly. Have to admit. I was really impressed with myself, lol...

@@karlvella7627 Thanks! It was 😋 I love sharing my desserts so yeah you would have gotten a slice, lol. Since you're not a neighbor you can make it yourself. I know there's quite a few steps to making it but you can always do it the way I do. Instead of trying to make everything in one day spread it out. All 3 components can be made one each day then put together. You've got this... 👍🏻

A couple of years ago, my darling daughter bought theatre tickets for my birthday. Knowing my 'interest' (obsession) with your channel, she brought me to Crumbs and Doilies, pre-theatre, for treats :) It was her birthday on the 10th, so this year I made her a CJ cake ... classic vanilla, adapted with coffee, with a dark chocolate ganache covering ... feel the need to now make this one!
