I was just playing this game yesterday. That proves just how much of a nostalgia-holic I am. I play these old school games a lot and I'd always be happy to play these classics.

Although Super Mario Bros. 2 isn't exactly one of my favorites, I still enjoy playing it every now and then.

The All-stars and GBA versions make it feel so much more like a normal classic mario game and not 'BiG hEaD lItTlE mArIo ThRoWiNg VegGies' kind of game

Is it just me or is this look & seem different than I remembered it to be. Kinda like when they take a classic movie and put in hd along with polishing up some edges . I'm I right or has it just been a long time since I was here.

Also, to add more to your statement, this game was originally released in Japan for the Famicom Disk System as "Yume Kojo: Doki Doki Panic" . It was later released to the U.S.A. as "Super Mario Bros. 2" because the original "Super Mario Bros. 2" (aka "Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels"), which was also released in Japan for the Famicom Disk System, could not be released to the U.S.A., or anywhere else, due to its very high difficulty.

I do believe we seek nostalgia as a comfort or escape from the present and video games are a great entry portal into the past. With that being said, Super Mario Bros 2 is my personal game choice for a good Blast From The Past.
I found a weird boss guy in the cloud in the first level and I never figured out how to continue the game after

Bosses on this game are very difficult (on general) if you don't know their weaknesses. On other hand, if you know it, it's ridiculously easy!
For example: on 6° world boss, I usually build a "wall" on the last block of that plataform using 3 of those things that the player use to atack. After that, the flames will not get you and you can throw the "atack things" over the wall and beat the boss easily.
