Im Michigan the Carp go crazy for peanut butter and shredded wheat cereal. You can even add a little honey for flavor. Use the big blocks of shredded wheat. Just soaknthe bar in water wring it out real good then start added the peanut butter and mix it in real good.
Sup ben. Nice carp quick release. Make dough with yeast, flour, cajon season and some sweet corn and 1 egg keep adding flour until good and let sit overnight like regular dough! Nice catfish. Another? Another one. Hope read this! Ty tc
Hey bro, You should Try generic Bran flakes, Big red soda, & flour. 1st, ya Crush the flakes down the best you can & pour into a bowl or gallon freezer bag. Then add some Big Red soda until it's good & mushy. Then just until add enough flour that a good dough form's. If to thick add more Big Red to thin more flour. A little experimentation may be needed to find out what stays on the hook the best & doesn't cast off the hook. It Work's unbelievably Well for all carp species & Channel cats love it to. It's Definantly Well worth making & Cheap also ! It also Smells Sooo damn Good that You'll want to taste it yourself. I tried it & It actually tastes great ! I learned this one from an old timer when I was living down in San Antonio TX. Many year's ago. Peace & much Love everyone

When I use bread balls, I usually use a #4-6 treble hook. Works great. I used to float bread and fish carp in a pond in my town when I was younger.
Panko breadcrumbs, strawberry jello and sweet corn. Makes a good dough ball

Caught a 20ish lb carp earlier this summer on some corn on the bottom. it was only on 10 lb test so I couldn't really wear it out after 20 minutes if it saw me or heard me it would still try and take line!

My grandfather loved to fish for carp. He would make his own dough bait with wheaties cereal, diet grape soda, and canned corn. I do not know how much of each he would use, but he would make a dough ball about the size of a softball from it.
My grandpa used to use Wheaties cereal, mashed up bananas and a little bit of vanilla extract

You should come down to lake Buchanan or lake LBJ. Some pretty decent fish in these lakes.
Try a bar of ivory soap. Used it a lot as a kid. Cut it into squares cat fish love it.
Dude you can go out on Conroe Lake and bait a hole with range cubes and come back a few hours later and catch monster grass carp i mean monsters! Don't get blood in the water though they'll take off. The bait shops around the lake sell a grain powder you add water and make dough balls. Good for hot summer slow days,

Use Kool-Aid bread and cornstarch Mega Ball but around your hook and then freeze it and then you take a few of them with folks already in them and you keep them Frozen in your cooler and the bread stays on and they love the Kool-Aid you know that
