Jesse, put REAL shutters on ur windows, preferably inside.. so when u lock up for the night or extended absence, ur shop is secure(plus no one can see whats inside), im sure u'll have a couple camera's IN and around ur shop, to keep tabs on it.. from inside ur house and on ur phone(when ur at work or away)..
So happy to see young Noah again giving you a helping hand. He's such a sweet, charming character, with a touch of cheeky fun and ready smile. Loved watching Noah, and Kaiden growing up. They are a credit to you both.
Lot of fun watching you build. It's especially fun watching your little boy help. Some of my earliest memories are of helping my dad build our house in Wisconsin in 1953, I was 6 years old. Good luck finishing this big project.
I get a kick out of how at 55:30 when a truck on the road with lowbed and excavator on it drives by...Jesse looking to see if he's pulling in to drop it off at his place 😂
Warms my heart seeing Noah help you. Teegan helped me mud some drywall today! Anytime I can take him with me I do. Being self employed has its benefits! Great video and good work Jesse
Since you are building a garage, make sure you install a garage exhaust hose; it's a must. Make it maneuverable by having it come down from the ceiling so it's not in the way. That way, you can keep the garage soot-free as well as protect your lungs. Especially in the winter when you want to keep the doors close.
Id say shes a great listener and great helper! Love this! Learning skills early and learning about hard work! I have the best memories of that with my dad....in a massive digger with a bag of sweets playing with the stick! Awesome
Noah does have long hair and eye lashes but he is all boy. But yea he loves helping out. My other son Kaiden does too but he would rather help instead of doing school work so I have to limit him
Yep i learned the hard way too. I was 30 ft in the air nailing a rafter to a ridge beam and I had one come out sideways and go into my thumb. Never climbed 30 ft downward so fast
Stick framing will always win, especially with the cost you save in the foundation/concrete. Imagine you had to pour, not to mention dig, 4’x2’ dia footing holes every 4’. That’s what they make you do out here. And if you do surface mount like you were considering you need an 18” rebar stemwall with 8” footing as well. The stick frame on slab is wildly economical. Obvious move. Insulation, wiring, everything is straightforward as well
Love how ur little lad helps out dude he maybe in the way and not as fast but he wants to help out his daddy build laughed at him say im holding the board as if to say relax daddy i know how to hold a boad lol love it
Just a friendly tip, when putting in those concrete anchors your best to have the nut on the end few threads when pounding it in so you don't mess up the threads. Looks good!
amazing video as always Jessie, but the best part was when Noah was helping his Daddy with the boards, the smile on his face clearly shows what a great parent you are and having him involved in this made his day. thank you for sharing with us.
When I was in the industry I would want to work for guys like Mr. Muller. He's smart, doesn't mess around and get's the job done. That's all a craftsman wants from a job. Nothing beats a good night's sleep.
You're a big inspiration! I'm looking to build my 30x40 garage this summer . I'm 24 living off grid in a school bus in central VT, operating my IHI 30j excavator for hire. I appreciate how you explain everything the way you are thinking about it
The strength of Noah is way above average. Some Day!!! He’s awesome!! The listening will happen, just wait and see. Love Love him!! Way to go Noah!!! Power Man!! And Jesse your building more than a structure, your building a real productive man for all of us some day. ❤️❤️❤️
The way that you do things is always spot on and correct. I could understand your frustration with other material dealers just wanting to up sell you. Never would have considered snow load with other building methods and would have thought that the manufacture of other buildings would have taken that into consideration for your area. You definately did the math on why you constructed the building your way which saves us time when we are ready for such a project.
Make sure to use wire mesh and stapler to seal potential mice/rats/ squirrels chewing spots like corners, around pipes etc very easy to do it now. Even if they enter the building from the doors they will have a limited space to hide in and limited highway to travel from place to place inside the walls ,easy to get rid of them. I saw too many buildings have a big problem with rodents. Less than $100 will do the whole building (wire mesh, stapler and snips)
sitting here relaxing and watching you video, and your chatting aoubt the cost and pricing of steel fram and pole barn type construtcion, and watching you and Pat nail it all together, and all of a sudden I see one of your small goats walk up and into all this. just so funny and yet so cute..next scene, goat is gone, and here comes noah..🙂always expect the unexpected! and why I love and enjoy your videos, and have since the beginning. Pat and your brother are a great asset to all that you are doing, and in your construction business as well, you are all blessed to have one another. sucks that you and yourt brother were working out in the rain. Love how Noah comes out to help, during this. Great father to teach your sons. They will learn more of the trades from you than they will ever learn in a school that doesn;t teach anything to kids any longer, so blessed to have them both home schooled. Hope Noah didn;t forget his little stuff animal when he left..don't find having a few windows for a garage is nuts, in fact, I personally find it logical. Look forward to the next video on this, with the truses and doors, and ???
That went up so well. It's amazing how buildings have improved from the "good" old days. What you did in 4 or 5 days would have been a month 50 years ago. Great video.
Wow, Jesse. Talk about progress and getting the job done. What a monumental build. You guys are the dream team building the shop of dreams. Enjoyable video for sure
Man, I LOVE framing in the rain and cold! Soggy wood, heavy wet clothes, boots full of wet socks and chafing feet. And there is nothing quite so awesome as the cold, wet blowback from the nail gun right in your face early in the morning.
Agreed Jesse. I went with Makita tools about 8 or 9 years ago when I was fixing and building VWs. I had air tools previously. Best decision I ever made. They are a bit slower on R&D for newer products compared to Milwaukee, but I have had pretty much zero headaches. To each their own I guess.
Although my little 26x28 detached garage/shop is nothing like this, when it was being built, it was a great feeling seeing the truck pull up with my trusses. They had my address spray painted in black on them, I guess in case the driver forgot where he was going. 😁
Awesome video! I loved seeing the little man trying to help you. The three of you did an amazing job. Thank you for sharing your journey in building your dream shop.😊
It is good that you have the patience n mindset to slow down n let your boy help you. Hats off to you, young man. I helped my dad build his home. I'm sitting in as I type my comment.
So much good here!! I've heard people glue their 2x4 strips onto the concrete slab to attach the bracing, so they don't have to drill into the floor. When it's all done, a firm smack with a sledge hammer knocks them loose.
I did that a few times but when it rains the boards swell up and they do separate from the floor, I had it happen quite a few times. This floor will get a solid color epoxy so filling in some of these 1/4" holes will be no sweat
Fantastic job as always Jesse. I just love watching you turning your hand to anything, and the fact you have a mind of information. Looking forward to the next vlog.
Really enjoyed the building and the helper. Noah always wants to know what and how. Cereal dropping the weight. So happy you are getting a work space❤❤❤❤❤
Enjoyed your video Jesse. Thank you for sharing. Blessings to you, your family and crew. Looking forward to your next video. Praying as always for your safety, health, strength, wisdom and success in Jesus's Name. ☝🙏🙌💪❤
Oh Jesse, Noah is adorable. How he crouches down to watch what you are doing. He is a very good helper he is learning from you all the time where the boards go. The little “grunt” from him is just too much .❤️❤️❤️❤️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼well done on all the framing In dreadful weather.
Jesse, before I watch the video I had one thought seeing the delivery truck. Aight, so you don't want to readjust your culvert pipe so you can adjust the ditch now that you know where the road needs to be, so how about making your own manhole around the culvert and putting a drain grate on the top of it to drain the driveway, then you can move the ditch where you need to move it on the garage side, have the water plop into the box and turn that weird angle to meet the driveway pipe. All it costs is a yard or two of concrete, the new culvert, some iron for the reinforcing and making a grate. you could even pour with the pipes in place for a better seal. Then you know you get the box height right for your situation. just an idea, time is money.
Jesse my favorite parts of the videos are listening to you talk and explain your process and reasoning, I think that sets you apart from a lot of other “work” CZcamsrs
steel building wouldve been sweet busy holy jebus, the prices are insane. the run around lip flapping steel building suppliers give is enough to make a client go another route. garage coming together Jesse
Am surprised not to see any chickens making an inspection, but hey you can't have it all :) Lovely work as usual, always a pleasure to see you guys working your magic. Thanks :)
Hey Jesse and associates good work on the garage construction as always especially Noah! what a great little guy outstanding 👍🏻💯🇬🇧his inheritance and memories are priceless ❤
Something so satisfying about the sound of the nail sinking home through the sheeting into a 2 x 4. That thunk! You immediately know if you missed just by the sound.
Hello Jesse. By doing your research and not jumping right into building, you may have saved most if not all of your labor costs. I look forward to the next installation. Have good days!
OSB Sheathing is made w. Wax. Very flammable Zipp is just a.Oil or latex bae paint Sealer. Great job Looks Awesome 🏁👍😎🎩. Hats off to. Ya Savin $$$ Always a good thing . Nice. Shop
I really like that you share your thought process with us... because, yeah - I would have had questions. I used to live in NY State years ago... and I got out of there because it seemed like reason just didn't work. It's their way or the highway even if you can prove your way is better. my house is sheathed with 5/8" plywood and then 1" of foam and Tywrap over that. I spray foamed the walls as well. With my ICF foundation it's quite easy to heat. You're right about the rain Jesse, there's a lot of surface water around there. We call that sheathing 'core board', here in NZ. I followed this build with interest and thanks very much for the interesting commentary, that explains things a lot what the plan is. Well done to you, your brother and your other worker, also Noah, and the goat supervisor, LoL. Bob. NZ.
Finally the garage is coming up nicely awesome job Jesse 👏 👍 👌. With the help of Noa inspector you doing a great job so far, watching you sun kin to get is hands on remind me when I was about the same age, I started to work at very young age, today is consider illegal to make kids to work, and with that said someone people are lazy because they weren't though how work is the most important thing in life.
Enjoyed seeing all the equipment you have repaired / brought back to life, that was used to construct this building (so far). Looking forward to seeing it partially dried in when you get the roof on / sheeted....
ok guys,
1. ryobi gun was returned : too bulky/heavy
2. heating is at 5 inches and screws in concrete was 1,5 inches
3. Noah wears clothes in winter
Surprised that you even brought it home. ....BRAND OF NEW JUNK

You're a great Dad having the patience you have when you're on a time limit..!
Warms my heart seeing Noah help you. Teegan helped me mud some drywall today! Anytime I can take him with me I do. Being self employed has its benefits! Great video and good work Jesse

It’s good to see you holding your hands back from the top plate as you nail. As a kid, I learned that lesson the hard way!
Yep i learned the hard way too. I was 30 ft in the air nailing a rafter to a ridge beam and I had one come out sideways and go into my thumb. Never climbed 30 ft downward so fast
Mine was at a wall corner, hit a knot. Right into my knuckle 😢
Glad to see I’m not the Only one that nails himself😅😅 as a 7 year old kid wanted to help my dad…… yeah to the hospital

Love how ur little lad helps out dude he maybe in the way and not as fast but he wants to help out his daddy build laughed at him say im holding the board as if to say relax daddy i know how to hold a boad lol love it
noah is a blast to work with
Noah is such a good worker! He so much wants to help his dad. God bless his little heart.
Now we know how Jesse has all the knowledge. He’s been learning since he was a toddler like his sons. 👍👍
Just a friendly tip, when putting in those concrete anchors your best to have the nut on the end few threads when pounding it in so you don't mess up the threads. Looks good!
Jessy bringing the build! Glad you will have a nice shop! You deserve it!
one of the hardest workers i've ever seen bar none!
OH YA! Been looking forward to this one. Grab a snack and a beer boys, this is going to be a good one!
amazing video as always Jessie, but the best part was when Noah was helping his Daddy with the boards, the smile on his face clearly shows what a great parent you are and having him involved in this made his day. thank you for sharing with us.
I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU, FINALLY YOU ARE BUILDING THE DREAM GARAGE. GOOD LUCK. JESSE YOU DESERVED.
Love your kid helping--you're teaching him more than framing.
When I was in the industry I would want to work for guys like Mr. Muller. He's smart, doesn't mess around and get's the job done. That's all a craftsman wants from a job. Nothing beats a good night's sleep.
Amen!!
great videos as always .. always explains what he is doing .. you're a great teacher
Having watched so many builds I think you nailed it your analysis and choices are the best
One of the things I like most about Jesse is the explanations/analyses he does for the various projects and parts thereof. Very interesting.
You're a big inspiration! I'm looking to build my 30x40 garage this summer . I'm 24 living off grid in a school bus in central VT, operating my IHI 30j excavator for hire. I appreciate how you explain everything the way you are thinking about it
30x40 was my original size . It still will probably do anything you need to do.
What teamwork even the little kiddo got in there and gave a hand, very impressive 😅
Jack of many traits. Nice to see someone living out their dreams.
Wheee! New video from my favorite youtuber
The strength of Noah is way above average. Some Day!!! He’s awesome!! The listening will happen, just wait and see. Love Love him!! Way to go Noah!!! Power Man!!
And Jesse your building more than a structure, your building a real productive man for all of us some day. ❤️❤️❤️
It's hard to fathom how any small business owner makes it in New York never mind flourish. Hats off to you hard working folks.
The way that you do things is always spot on and correct. I could understand your frustration with other material dealers just wanting to up sell you. Never would have considered snow load with other building methods and would have thought that the manufacture of other buildings would have taken that into consideration for your area. LOL... not a good listener but a great helper...priceless awesome vid!!!
Thank you for including the cost. Very helpful!
You did a great job, it took a lot of work. It's nice to see little Noah helping you again. He's a sweet character
Make sure to use wire mesh and stapler to seal potential mice/rats/ squirrels chewing spots like corners, around pipes etc very easy to do it now.

I saw too many buildings have a big problem with rodents.
Less than $100 will do the whole building (wire mesh, stapler and snips)
yea rodents and bugs getting in is a pet peeve of mine, I want to avoid it at all costs
Great video 👍 We all learned a lot on this video,I think plenty of skylights would be good for lighting purposes 😊.
Love this channel and the detail you show. Keep it up!!

Great job Jesse, saved a lot of cash stick framing it's the only way I do it. Much more flexible for changes in build also.
Wow, Jesse. Talk about progress and getting the job done. What a monumental build. You guys are the dream team building the shop of dreams. Enjoyable video for sure

Indeed.
Love the time-lapse on wall construction!
Thank you for sharing, I learn a lot , always a pleasure watch your project 👍👍👍👍
I like the windows up high for a shop. I was surprised stick built was cheaper than the metal buildings.
Pot of Coffees on! Here weeee go!! Pumped!! Cheers!;-)!

Really was so excited for a new video coming out! Thank you! I enjoy watching your content so much 🫶🏻
Everyone needs a little helper like that, especially when you need to get into a small tight space, lol.
RR building. Man he is accurate. I love watching him build
yea he is good. I wish engineers around here would get more into post frame, we always have to use double trusses
@@jmuller86 yeah I know he went to New York tp help Diresta build his shop. I'm curious now to watch it again hearing you talk about NY rules
@@averagemyke2843 yea I watched that recently. Diresta is like 15 mins from me

This popped up just as i was about to hit the hay (UK Time). Could of waited but YOLO 😆
Extremely happy for you. You really have needed this!!
Noah always puts a smile on my face, good job!
Great video Jesse, very informative. Can't wait to see it closed in.
Fantastic job as always Jesse. I just love watching you turning your hand to anything, and the fact you have a mind of information. Looking forward to the next vlog.
Thanks Jesse !! love your videos
Noice. Great job Jesse. Progress isn't as much about "thinking", as it is "doing".
I like doing and watching framing , it is so satisfying as it takes shape! Great job jess😊

Coming along nicely, Jesse. I'm already a bit jealous, my shop has me wishing I had more room.

This was a good project video.
Outstanding use of the Monoboom Skidstear.
You can’t beat having a lull on a job site and I would have went the same direction you did on materials for your shop.
